What do you expect of the person who's in charge of you / boss?
How he/she should be?

Last year i had an interview were they asked me this, today it popped in my mind because i'm having another interview next week and i wonder what was what they wanted to hear. Were they looking for something already known or more about something more peculiar?
At that moment i wasn't expecting it at all so i said fuck it and gave a response, i'm an nf apparently so imagine how that turned out. dunno if what they were expecting to hear.
What do you think?

IDK - a lot of the interview process seems to be a rumble and tumble process, where personal sympathies and quick visual impressions play a much larger role than all the "professional" perfect-interview-answer books lead you to believe.

So reply with what you think you personally think your boss should be like, but leave out anything negative, and anything that sounds like criticisms, whining, and complaints.
Focus on things that are positive, achievement oriented, or intellectually based.
This question is a great opportunity to say "good things" about your past supervisors.
These answers are a kind of a social guarantee to the person hiring you that you won't be a problem and that you'll relate to them positively.

Viche's response is solid.

Each question is a test, either to screen out undesirable traits, or to give people an opportunity to shine.

To avoid coming across as undesireable:
- don't badmouth previous bosses
- try and work in stuff that you feel is important that you also do, as they will infer you act the way you expect others to expect
- don't have any unrealistic expectations
- have realistic expectations (e.g. "I expect honesty from my boss")

To shine:
- work in any previous experience you have had as a manager. What did you do that you expect from others?
- communicate an understanding of how stuff works. People that demonstrate understanding of why they're doing the things promise future value.

Superficially it's a simple question to see if you expect what the person who will be your supervisor has as a management style: micromanager vs just get the result, etc.

At a conceptual level there are a couple "good manager" concepts that you should probably consider if they fit with your view of the world:
1. Sets clear expectations.
2. Communicates clearly as needed.

Those are hard to quibble with.

Whatever you put down, do it in a positive fashion, that is, "sets clear expectations" rather than "doesn't make things vague so I can be blamed when project goals aren't met."

Remember that NT thing, in a cautionary way: Don't overthink, don't overwrite, don't overexplain. I gave a seven-word answer and it's the one I'd put down if I ever have the misfortune to have to apply for a job ever again. :D

Socially competent with good leadership qualities and the personal maturity to entrust specialized subordinates. Knowledge is of small importance compared to wisdom.

What do you think about the test?, i will answer it and try to show you the results but i've done already 82 questions and it's like a normal MBTI test, and eventho they ask me to answer honestly i find there are some questions such as: do you prefer to work on teams or alone? or do you feel confortable working in a untidy place? which .... are going to fuck me up if i give my true answer. Imagine you were about to be hired by in a company where they filter news related to whatever they are interested about their clients company, social impatc, reputation of the brand, public relations, audience profile, long blablabla, also they give strategies and such things for increasing their impact on the market.
Should i stay true or switch to ExTJ mode?

i mean i will probably just answer honestly and fuck it but what do u think?

i will bring the test solved with questions and you'll decide if you hire me or not XD i will make a poll

Some questions like "do you prefer to work in a team or alone" you might just have to bs for the purposes of the interview. I wouldn't give any answers that could be interpreted negatively, but I also would not lie (embellish the truth :D) by giving examples of when I'd worked in a team well, etc.

A lot of interviews is just how you come across. My Father has been a senior manager for a long time and he always tells me that he decides within the first 5-15 mins of an interview if he's going to go for that candidate, and the rest of the interview is a formality. Same with CVs, he scans each one for about 5 seconds.

I think "lava" is the correct answer for Q1, and "terminal" for Q2, and for Q3 it should be "near" because it's a different word class (adjective), or "fence" because it's human constructed. It could be "cat" because of alive, though. But if it's an adjective, that's the odd one.

EDIT: Haha, i said "human constructed" instead of "artificial".

Agree in both 2 first ones you said, i think i confused seasonal with stages cuz it sounds like that in spanish, estación could be like a stop, stage or like a terminal which doesn't imply repetition but ending or something. But now looking at the dictionary it's related to seasons so yeah that's linked to ciclical.
And i picked at first lava but i dunno why i changed it goddamn, there was a reason tho.
Cat, near/fence, planet i have no idea so whatever.

EDIT: i actually had picked lava as the correct option, i dunno why i put sand here

The other end of this is writing a "help wanted" advertisement that filters out folks who won't fit the work culture. I mention this because asking if you can work in a messy environment may mean they have a messy environment. When I had to come up with a help wanted ad during the time we were taking the newspaper from print to digital I talked the human resources people into letting me include something to the effect of "Must be comfortable with ambiguity" in work structure and office relationships, because at the time we had thrown everything up in the air and were catching it as it came down. Everyone in the office suddenly became responsible for putting significant local breaking news out on the Web site and through our email notification lists, enlisting anyone else around to give material a second read, etc., for typos and stupidities. Exciting times, but not a place for people nervous without rigid structure. You test question might be another way of finding out if your comfort level fits their work place. Just answer honestly, because wow, if you pretend to be something else and they hire you, you'll be miserable beyond belief in a few weeks. :)

next time someone in a job interview ask me what are your hobbies i will just say analize people through MBTI system based on Carl Jung personality types theory and also explore outer space with my telescope

like really what's the point of that? they want me to say i love riding horses, playing golf and swiming after 1 hour of gym?

I PROUDLY SAID COMPOSING AND PRODUCING MUSIC
FUCK IT

also: what are your weakness?
i don't have bitch i'm indestructible
I almost said that but like i full stop there, didn't came anything to mind, only some social akwarness at the begining

the rest of the interview went well i think, only problem is that i got a fucking traffic fine for grabbing my telephone for looking at the GPS in the highway!
:)))))))) have a nice day

My cynical side says the question "what is your weakness?" is what you'll see as an "area to be improved" on every performance evaluation while you are with the company. :-) You're pretty much loading the gun the evil human resources department will use to shoot you. If you put down "none known" you'll be dinged for anything that later comes up that involves a chip-on-your-shoulder attitude on your part. And if you don't answer, they'll ding you for "doesn't follow instructions" or "uncooperative performance" in the future. It's a great question, from an HR point of view, because you, the applicant, can't win.

My apologies to any HR people in here, but I have a dour attitude towards HR based on seeing the number of people they helped to fire vs the number of people they helped.
