I do that sometimes too! I mean the mixing up thing - I tried to write down my dreams a couple of times but I could never really get into it.
Sometimes I would tell my family some of these "memories" and they would be confused about them, because they never happened.
Also... wanna share your favorite dream? (for me it was one in which I was flying and having problems to learn how to land - I had bruises all over my body, but I didn't care, because is was freaking awesome! I only had dreams in which I could fly two times before... well, as far as I can remember)
Dreams where you are able to fly are great, specially when you can clearly see what is below you and you can control where you go. I don't have a favorite dream, I have favorite kinds of dreams.
I like dreams that are "continued" from others. For instance, a few weeks ago I dreamed I was at the beach with my family, and then the tide started to rise until I was taken away by the sea - I often dream of that. Yesterday I dreamed I was swimming on that same ocean and then ended up on a tropical island with hostile natives

There was no way of telling it was the same ocean, but I just knew it was, and I knew where I came from, although it wasn't actually the same dream.
Lucid dreams are pretty nice too, but I stop writing down my dreams whenever I get them otherwise I get them too often. I like it because I can remember stuff from real life, like what day of the week it is, or if it was raining or not when I went to sleep. I remember that in my first lucid dream I tried to convince people around me that that world wasn't real, lmao. I often try to take photos on my dreams too. I know it's pointless, but I always try it and I always check my camera when I wake up.
I like dream where there's a lot of interactions with other people. It's interesting when you're dreaming, because you're always doing something, not just seeing landscapes, walking around rooms or whatever, it's like you're just living your life. It's interesting to analyse it afterwards too, like woah, that was all my brain, hah. And I like sex dreams, of course.
