my mom got mad at me (I'm 27 haha) because I have a diabetic dog who needs insulin twice a day and we were running low on needles and insulin.

it made me feel bad, but I was like, "mom, what's $100 going to do for us"

she was like, "hmm, yea you're right."

haha.

ok.

(funny bc first time in my life my mom would condone something like me doing weed)

Since we're posting needlessly;
I find myself typing obscenely
rude things to your posts.

But I don't want to see you make
another thread and whine about it.

Perhaps you should have saved that
money to move out of your mom's.
You did mention you're twenty-seven.

well she actually lives with me because I was doing so bad that she took it upon herself to move to Los Angeles to help me with my business and life, but now we're actually getting evicted from the condo I live in and moving into my office together. it's great, for the first time since I left for college, I have clean boxers and food in the fridge.

You had to spend every cent of that hundred dollars on weed in one go?

Some people have no self control.

-------

Does this include; all the change from the seat of your couch and the $20 you stole from mom's purse?

I don't know what kind of reaction you expected to get. It wouldn't have even been that bad if you didn't mention that your diabetic dog needs insulin. I know you are trying to be funny by saying your mom condones drug use but, seriously, fuck you its not funny. Your dog depends on you to live and you undertook that responsibility when you brought it into your home. :beatyou:

I find the word "some" to be quite an understatement here.

I somehow still don't completely understand the contents of the OP, probably because it's written by someone who uses the phrase "to be like" to express "to say something in the fashion of". Twice. Which is extremely disgusting.

Yeah, this would have pissed me off too, but having spent the last day hearing from people in RL about how awesome Micheal Vick is for scoring 6 touchdowns in one game, I've kind of become desensitized to people's forgiveness of those who mistreat animals.

Apparently it's ok to torture and kill things, as long as you're really good at sports. I wonder if that will hold up in court...????

On another note, I kind of like Munky's being here.... he sort of makes me look good by comparison. *tries to blend in with the sane people*

This act is so ridiculous it's incredible.

And by that, I mean it's not credible. But even if it was, it would only make you look worse. Why would you announce this anyway?

If you are unable to support your dog any longer why not just put it out of its misery or put it up for adoption? Adding to the fact that you spent your last $100 on dollars on weed, a temporary solution, rather than investing it into gas money/clean clothes/grooming yourself to get another job seems quite unreasonable.

Your problems are complicated, but you seek simple solutions (weed). Hasn't anyone ever taught you that complicated problems require complicated solutions? Perhaps i do not understand your situation well enough, but so far from the information you've given, i find you to be quite the irresponsible individual. Mayhap it is too soon to judge, but that is simply my 1st impression.

in my defense, there's like a week's worth of insulin left, and if you reuse the needles, you don't need to buy more of those.

He is going to come swaggering in soon telling us it was all a joke. In fact, his dog already died.

Who said it was OK? Did he not go to jail and lose a fortune for it? Do people not deserve second chances? He has worked hard to get where he is now. He has improved himself and his game on so many different levels since he got out of jail. Even if he is a terrible person, it doesn't change what he can do on the football field, which is what everyone is talking about.

Yea he is more than just a dog abuser. The same thing happens to artists, people just want their autographs or to talk about their music. Still, it's kind of unsettling to observe society crucifying someone one day and then worshiping them the next. Wait...

Touche.

I suppose it's aggravating to me because I generally connect more with animals than I do with people, so seeing someone drown and electrocute animals in a dog fighting circuit and then be back on the field making millions and getting cheered on a few years later is... quite disheartening. He may be good at football, but if he had done that to people, even ones with less mental capacity or whatever than dogs, I doubt people would be quite so enamored of him.

But then again, it is football. Tiger Woods goes through crap for cheating on his wife, while football players can rape and murder people and barely get noticed.

Yep. Not only that, he would still be in prison, unable to deliver those precious touchdowns! It's weird though, isn't it, how people are able to compartmentalize like that. They boo his actions off the field, but cheer like hell when he's playing. I'm not even sure if I'd call it hypocrisy, so much as the ability to focus solely on one aspect of a person while (momentarily) ignoring others. I think most of his fans still know not to trust him with their pets.

I think it's because it's a team sport. Even if he's the worst human being alive, he's still helping their beloved team win. If he played for the opposing team, they'd hate him even more than before. If he played an individual sport (golf, tennis) it would likely take a much longer time for people to accept him. No one wants to root for a 'bad person' but they'll root for his team.
