i recently got my first car and might start replacing video games with something else

how did u guys make the transition from video gamer to someone with hobbies or something
It happened right around the time when I first correlated an erection to an immediate female bystander... I'd say that was about it. :)
I stopped "pursuing" video game entertainment towards the end of high school. I still play occasionally, but only the games I grew up on (sonic the hedgehog series, gran turismo, etc.). I don't really think about them anymore.

Actually, within the past two months I cut my video game playing time into tiny pieces. I never really played games like WoW, but CoD... I mean, was it really that fun? I can't tell anymore.

Now, I think I could stop playing video games indefinitely, except for two things: My friends and newly released RPG's. Fable 3 will probably cause my grades to drop by a whole percentage point or three for the first two weeks it's out (assuming they improve over the last one. Then again, if they don't improve it, plotting the downfall of Lionhead will probably drop my GPA by a point for the rest of the semester).

So, extrapolating from past release cycles, I can probably go about six-ten months without playing video games. If you include friends, though, I can go two weeks, max.

Last time I played a game was last summer. But it was just for fun, nothing too serious.
I used to be addicted to gaming, I spent most of my childhood playing games. Nowadays, I just don't enjoy playing games, even when I force myself to do it.

probably for ever.. as long as I'm not very board.. i think computer games are something really nice when I'm board but the most funny thing in the world.. I rather hang out with friends or go shopping :) competing in real sports is way more fun than in computer games even in multiplayer sport games or something..

cheers

I quit, then become interested in them again, (hoping that the reasons that caused me to quit in the first place are no longer there) then quit when I realize how unsatisfying they really are.

I recall playing Diablo and Diablo II at least 8 hrs a day for about a year each back in jr. high and high school. I've been playing DOTA and some shooters these past few years but nothing I was ever really addicted to. We'll see how Diablo III treats me though :borg:

I don't play as much as I used to, and if I do it's usually for only an hour or two. I used to play everyday when I was in junior high.

Anyhow, I can't quit video games on my own, but I was forced not to play them for 6 months and it was all hell. I'm in Grade 11 at this point and still play as much as I can.
