While it's true that illness is compensated for, it doesn't mean that there aren't other selections being made. Unless you're forcing the ill (mentally, physically, etc) to reproduce, someone would have to select them as a reproductive partner. Now, what evolutionary effect this will have is not clear to me, exactly, but you can't say that natural selection has stopped completely unless reproductive partners are no longer selected and everyone gets a chance to reproduce before they die, putting their genes back into the gene pool.

Though, with the compensations and lack of any particularly strong influence to cause humans to need to adapt, any substantial change will most likely take much longer and there will still be a more diverse gene pool than there would be if there was a specific force pushing humans to adapt, like a specific predator.

...in my opinion, anyways.

I never made the statement I am god. I simply said that since I am the only consciousness which I know for a fact exists, does that mean my entire reality could be a fabrication of my own mind (which it pretty much is), thus making me its creator, and thus making me god.
