Not currently, but often. Anyways, I've posted a few times on here. I'm fairly new here but have lurked for quite a while. I'm fairly sure I'm INTP as the first couple of tests I took indicated such. It's difficult to trust any recent tests I've taken as I now believe that I'm biased to answer in such a way that will be skewed towards what I think fits. I work with electronics and don't particularly enjoy doing it, but it pays the bills and I guess I'm fairly good at my job. blah.

so those who have responded agree with my post. Could it be that acceptance is easier to gain around here than I've thought? For some reason, most of the time when I feel like posting on, either this forum or facebook, or anywhere for that matter, something holds me back. I'll often write a post, delete it, rewrite it again slightly different and then delete it again just to dismiss it altogether. Seems to be a recurring theme. gonna hit submit reply before I do it again......

Here's my problem with originality.....I've often stumbled upon some "original" thought Idea or what have you, only to use google to find out that it has been thought of decades ago. I don't even trust my own brain anymore. Since my memory seems to be pretty bad, I have an uncanny ability to think up stuff only to realize that I've seen or heard it before and forgot that I have.

If you actually do have such a fear, then better to know, gives you the ability to rationalize and have more control.

Not going to lie... I've also had similar thoughts cross through my mind. Albeit, most of the time it just transforms into some sort of sadness because something I thought I had thought of on my own, someone else thought of ages ago.

I think the extent of your thought process is a little disconcerting, however

instead of fearing this FACT of human history...EMBRACE it...and create the new world.

theres no doubt, we copy, meme, and improve. thats how shit gets done. so stop worrying about being 'original' and simply go infuse what you see out there.

The odds of finding a novel 'truth' are rather remote. I often discover something independently, myself, only to find out it is an 'old' idea. I have learned to take solace in the fact, that I seem to be in great company and thinking along the same lines as some of the brightest minds in history...

It's nice to think that I'm among some good company with some of my thoughts. I'm really not too worried about it. I've just noticed these thing. My Wife has a knack for thinking that I'm complaining when, in fact, I'm just simply stating an observation with no real reason behind it other than I find it interesting. A collective unconscious is a nice thought, I would like to believe that, just don't know.

I feel connected with humanity, yet unable to effectively communicate with the majority of humanity that I have come into contact with. Maybe there's nothing original left.
