Well it seems that this forum is another form of procrastination for me. Anyway, hi. I hope to learn about who/how/why I am.

What?

What?

What?

Argh!! It's a triple what!!!... should I do?

No, really, are those serious questions?

If they are, then I will explain...? :phear:

"Hello. What is "Moiwah"?. I hope you will be an active member." ....?

They were "I don't understand, you can explain if you want" whats.

Moiwah is an anagram of who am I, which seemed kind of apt.
I will be active if I am accepted. Sometimes you just don't fit in a forum.

Why "Words"?

I accept Moiwah, therefore, Moiwah moves...? How does that work?

On another road, cool meaning.

Why "Words"?

:)

The original reason or the reason I currently want it to be? I wanted to utilize my "username" to thematize an activity of memorization, therefore, words. The reason I want it to remain that way is because it represents simplicity. I like to simplify, though I don't think I like simple things...or do I? (Who am I?)

Good evening, mister Words! I think you shall attempt to read this fine gentleman's post once again! You will surely come to realize that this conclusion is rather inaccurate.

*Tips hat*

Oy there, Moiwah. Wherst do ye hail and wherst do ye plan on going?

Why does everyone speak in riddles!? I'll need a "what?" key at this rate.

I accept Moiwah, therefore, Moiwah moves...? How does that work?
You're asking: how does "Moiwah moves" "work"? Or are you asking how "who I am" "moves"? Move doesn't seem like an adequate word though in these cases. Please elaborate.

Oy there, Moiwah. Wherst do ye hail and wherst do ye plan on going?

I hail from England. I have no plans.

Apologize. I will use "active" instead.

Why does the multitude's level of acceptance determine your activity?

A general rule of thumb for navigating this forum:

Instead of checking your gun at the door you check you rules for social interaction at the door. Even when being serious we are ever silly. The opposite of this is true as well. We take our silliness very seriously. Almost as seriously as we take everything else.

Also, I find that conversing with Words (That pun never gets old.) is like having a detailed history of philosophy textbook read to you by a five year old economist. *gives Words a lolly* Now go do my taxes!

Isn't it great being an INTP? No? Well, it's certainly confusing for the uninitiated.

WTH Mini? Oh, I get it. You were getting a little pedi-mani and in order to maintain your sense of dignity you attempted to stab me in the eye. Good luck with that.

*Blue nail clipper bounces off Cava's eye and embeds itself in Mini's left nostril...also, the nail clipper is now pink*...what do you keep in your nose?!?!

This sounds like you think he said that if he was accepted, he would move to another place. If that wasn't what you meant, why are you rolling your eyes? I've actually spontaneously rolled my eyes in RL- it hurts you know!

Cava I shall have you know that I keep my radium in my nose, and even when being hit by a nail clipper, the radioactive nose hair protects me from any injury!

I strongly dislike conflict.

Hello Moiwah. Welcome to the Forum for the Confused and the Confusing. Hope you hang around, we need fresh blood for our bewinged little vampires, they get bored.

If you search for answers, like so many of us, you will get answers, although perhaps not the answers one would normally expect.

Cavallier was being serious, which means hir was being silly, which means the whole confusion was actually quite profound. In a silly way. Seriously.

And you have to read Words' posts quickly so you don't get too confused.

Welcome to INTPforum, please take this official Melkor welcome, the ever popular 'Melkome'.

As you can see, it has a picture of a kitty, and expires in three hours.

Please enjoy your miserably short stay.

^That's great! Now for the fisticuffs and philosophy. *punches Mr. Moi on the nose* What are your thoughts on nihilism?

Wasn't sure what that word meant, so I hope wikipedia defined it properly.
Nihilism is the belief that values are falsely invented.
Well, yeah.
The term nihilism can also be used to describe the idea that life, or the world, has no distinct meaning or purpose.
I'd kind of agree with this too, unless if you choose to give it meaning or purpose. But that's not distinct.
Nihilists believe that there are no true morals.
Isn't there some kind of evolutionary advantage for morals though?

By the way, I am not pessimistic.

PS: You know what's really annoying? The stork dance emoticon. The pixels of his hand touch the right stork but not the left one.

Nihilism is more or less seen as a gateway to existentialism. It is not an end, but a beginning. I don't believe that. But that is what is generally believed.

Oh yes... I know this was not directed at me, but I must say... I do not believe in the game, for I am a nihilist.

By the way: I derive no humor out of regular discourse as Cavalier seems to imply.

Morals: Who cares? They are subjective. Moral nihilists merely deny objective or inherent morals (though this denial does often lead to a lack of personal morals altogether).

Well you see, I turned on my laptop, opened my Internet browser and let it catch up with itself for a while. Little did I know that a 2048th post would be made in less than 10 minutes. How foolish of me not to check it in another tab! Whenever I comment on people's post count in future I shall do this. But hey, 2048 is also a "fun" number in binary.

I highly doubt it is possible for anyone to truly "fit in" here. Many people on this forum may be similar (though some are not, assuredly), but the forum itself has no prevailing norms or paradigms.

Or... wait. Is "the forum" the place of discussion or the people who are discussing? A most difficult matter.... An object in and of itself is useless. It is humans who give it meaning. We create things which are already assumed to have meaning; we create things which have a predetermined meaning in mind. We see things we have not created and find (rather, "create," as there is no meaning to find) meaning. What then is meaningless?

Hm. I need to stop ranting so much, I suppose.

Moiwah, what are some of your interests?

You could go as far as to say that once an object is "perceived" (or even deduced to exist) we give it a basic meaning. So then nothing is meaningless except this definition of meaninglessness.

Moiwah, what are some of your interests?
Well I'm in my first year (second term) at uni studying computer science. I like programming and maths. And robots. In my house of 12 there are 6 IXXX, 6 EXXX which I consider lucky. I'm slowly leaving this exhausting outgoing pretence now that I have friends (I would have had nobody to live with next year otherwise). I get along well, I've met 2 other INTPs. Uni life is good if you make the effort.
I don't really have any hobbies. I suppose Rubik's cubing would count now that I'm sub 30. Can't think of anything else. I don't know what I do all day...

Maybe. I suspect it doesn't matter so much anyway, but I would have to give it more thought.

Ah. I cannot wait for college. Mostly, the utterly uninhibited learning environment, but I do think it would be great to meet some fascinating people and intellectuals who know their stuff.

I can do Rubiks cube. But... sub 30?! Did you learn the Friedrich method?

I most definitely resonate with you saying that you have no idea what you do all day, though. Seems as though the time just slips away. Fascinating, really.

It's really enjoyable. Hard to fight the urge to do little or no work though...

Yeah, Fridrich method. Not learnt more than 1/5 of the algorithms for one of the stages yet though. I'd like to learn blindfold :P

I've realised that most of my time is used up trying to reinforce the friendships I've tried so hard to forge. I spend a lot of time watching films, playing cards and going out. The latter I am not a great fan of.
