Interestingly, every single MBTI test I've taken over the past few days (I've tried several) have me pinned as an INTP, which is incorrect.

I have now been typed as every intuitive type under the sun.

Conclusion: ESFP.

:phear:

Well, INTPz will love you anyway. She is just so loving and kind. Probably the most popular forum member here. I just want her to implant her eggs in me, so we have little shrimp humans.

I don't use Ti - my thinking is too expansive. I start with the 'big picture' and stay there. Details scare the living shit out of me.

Some things said about me over the years:

- Warm
- Affirming
- Charismatic
- Persuasive
- "Generous to a fault"

Obviously, INTJs can be none of those things.

SCIENCE!

I'd say ENFJ based on that, but then again...

Also, welcome to the dark castle. It's full of jesters and no king.
(Altough you've already made acquaintance with the jester-king :king-twitter:)

I'd say ENFJ based on that, but then again...

A fairly strong case was made for ENFJ back on PerC (especially after I met a member IRL and they were all "Holy shit you are SUCH an ENFJ!") Unfortunately, it wasn't a good example of how I am 99% of the time - I was in an uncharacteristically fantastic mood that day, so I was far more charming / charismatic than I usually am.

I struggle with the idea of being a Fe user, in truth. I can be so oblivious to other people and their needs / wants (especially recently - developing T, perhaps?) that I often get accused of "Not caring enough", or being somewhat withdrawn and cold. I do care, of course... I just don't go out of my way to accommodate other people. Largely owing to the fact that I'm far too busy seething at their gross ineptitude, I'd assume.

Also, I am fairly unemotional. I don't really do feelings unless it's anger or frustration. I'm good at those, but not at anything else. I'm exceptional in crisis situations; when everyone is running around losing their shit, I'm working out how to get things done as quickly and efficiently as possible. I work very, very well under pressure. Er, not that a Fe-type can't, of course.

I always assumed I was more of a Fi user. If I can't see a use for something or someone, if I cannot see any benefit, then I will fail to interact / cut ties. I'm not interested in wasting time on pointless endeavours.

My profile displays both Linux and Safari icons.

This is incorrect. I use Windows and Chrome.

[EDIT] and now Windows 98. Ah, 98 SE! Those were the days :)

@jmontroy90 - I take it you're an actual INTP, rather than a terrible imposter like myself ;)

I'm half tempted to do a 'type me' thread on this forum. Something tells me a bunch of INTPs on the case would solve the problem in no time.

That definitely did not help. I appreciate your input, though.

After mentioning Architect's attempt at typing me via video over on PerC, I had a couple of requests to see said video.

At the moment, people are saying I'm an ENFJ.

Do not want.

You could get that impression from the video, and it is possible. That would be Fe-Ni-Se-Ti. However Fe and Ne can be a little hard to distinguish, as outwardly they don't appear too different. In any case PmjPmj displays a high degree of Ni, which is continual seeking possibilities and casting out in new directions.

Typing is hard, especially for somebody you don't know, so we need to look beyond pure visual clues. In this case I see him talking about ideas, and little about people. An ENFJ would be highly focused on the people around them. However an ENFJ are more likely to be mystified about themselves, as they are one of the quester NF types.

Hard to say, but I take ENFJ as close to the bullseye but not quite there. Just my reasoned judgement which could be wrong; we would need more data to be sure of that, like a more detailed life history. The best way to find yourself is to get old enough to have a catalog of your past behavior.

"Adaptable" is how I've acted up to this point. There is one aspect (and one aspect only) of Fe that I can see within myself - socially chameleon-like behaviour, though to a lesser degree than what the ENFJ stereotypes would have you believe.

I really can't wrap my head around the idea of being a Fe-dom. It seems way off.

Perhaps I'm putting too much stock into the stereotypes.

I take in external 'objects' or events and, internally, transform them into something else. These transformations sometimes get projected outwards in a kind of 'minds eye' way, seeing them as a sort of overlap. Makes no sense, bear with me - just typing as I think of stuff.

Ni, Ne, or something else? I like to generate theories and link them together. It's how I roll. My worldview consists entirely (well, almost entirely) of my own personal understanding of things and how they may fit together. Like a jigsaw. Well, sort of.

Although I do (obviously) care about people, I'm far more interested in theories, ideas, whatever. People, and inter-personal relationships, rate fairly low on my priority list. The fact that up until a month ago I have always pretty much been single (unwilling to deal with a lot of the inane BS that goes alongside a relationship) perhaps goes some way to highlighting this preference. Perhaps.

T over F?

Wherever I go, people seem to like me. I light up around people and love to discuss the aforementioned topics I have a preference for. I prize harmony in the workplace and like to maintain (where possible) a harmonious work environment. I try to keep a good work ethic, ensuring that I get along with people. I'm not the sort of person that will go over the line with 'trolling' - I prefer to keep it professional.

Fe?

I am terrible at remembering sensory data. Also, when stressed out (and I mean REALLY stressed out) I have these hilarious, completely irrational fears that something is massively wrong with me.

Inferior Si?

ENTP. Right across the board.

Something ain't right, Holmes.

I'm not sure what it is, but I find your decisions utterly stupid.

You must admit Paul, the above does pretty much summarise YOU

I'm fairly confident that nobody gives a shit, but I've recently invested some time into Socionics and it has provided me with something the MBTI couldn't; a final conclusion as to just what the eff my type is. It has been a long and arduous road, but I'm finally there.

I'm a Ni-ENFj.

So if you're struggling to ascertain your type, have a look at Socionics.

Betterer system is betterer.
