I'm also brutally retarded (I can't even get my username right, which should be 'Pmj').

Impressively, I am still unable to type myself after being interested in the MBTI / JCF for over 2 years now. The more I learn, the more confused I become. Seeing as INTPs are, in my eyes, amazing at breaking things down into their constituents and analysing the shit out of them, I thought I'd lurk here for a while to see if I can better ascertain what is going on inside my brain-case.

The best fits so far have been XNXJ.

Personally, I believe that I can see Ni, Fi and probably Te within myself. That would leave XNTJ, which is wrong - I've always been far too "Woo!" to be a thinker, so my best guess is that an inferior function (probably Ti) is kicking up a bit of a fuss, leading me down a dark and terrible path. In other words, I might be some kind of shit ENFJ.

However, people who are fairly well versed in the MBTI / JCF (and have known me for a great deal of time) insist that I'm "Obviously" an ENTJ who has lost his drive. Again, I call bullshit - I've always been far too chilled out and happy to remain in the background. I do have a desire to lead, though I'll get to such a position in my own damn time.

My mantra in life is "Why do today what can be done tomorrow?"

Anyway, yeah. I'm 26 years old and from the UK.

I'll see you around the forum :kilroy:

People with too much energy, I'd wager.

I have ambition by the bucketful. I want to change the world.

Unfortunately, I can't be bothered to get up and do anything about it. Fortunately, I'm in a relationship with an EXTJ woman who is seriously kicking my ass about things. For example, she's Spanish... and without any forewarning, she enrolled me on a Spanish GCSE course (that she's teaching) to "Pad out" my "Skillset".

Yes, dear!

Seriously? Some people did do similar things to me. My response was "fuck you" in a less harsh, but harsh nonetheless way.

I would NEVER date someone who would do something like this. If she wants me to do something, ask. If I say no, understand the no and don't ask again. Fuck. Some people are fucking stupid.

I see it as more of a fairness thing, to be honest - she is Spanish, and we are in a relationship which is very likely going places. Plus, I need all the help with motivation that I can get!

I'm pretty mad about her, in truth. If it was anyone else I'd be on the same page as you.

Hi, so am I! (some kind of intuitive type).

You know I've never seen an I with an exclamation point after it, as far as I can recall. Looks nice.

Well, carry on.

Fairness? She's in America, let her learn the fucking language and lose the accent first. That's fairness.

Going places: unless you're going to a place where Spanish is the language there, I don't see at all how this is relevant. However, the same idea would be applied if you went to a place where there are Chinese, Russian or Brazilian people too. Therefore, I don't see how it is related at all.

I'm a big fan of exclamation marks - they allow me to trick people into thinking I'm far more charismatic, friendly and engaging than I actually am.

Secretly, I seethe!

We're both in England, actually. She speaks Spanish, Catalan, English, French, German and Italian fluently. I'm fairly sure I can manage one additional language ;p

Also, she's going to be purchasing a house in Spain soon. Southern Spain, specifically - that's where she's from. Obviously, I'll be holidaying over there *a lot*, so leaning the language is pretty much a necessity.

[EDIT] Also, she's been a British citizen for 19 years. Her accent is vaguely Liverpudlian, which is where she has lived for the most part (other than Oxford in her early years, which is where she was educated).

Damn, you made a shitty choice for a girlfriend, an ESTJ sucks ass. I would've dumped her after she made a choice for me, but possibly much sooner because of some much more minor event that you both had.

If she has no or light accent and speaks fluently, then it is fair as it is. Learning HER language isn't even in the vicinity of fairness, she has been living in England for 19 fucking years!

I can't argue that it's not useful though, however we loop back to the first paragraph of this post.

EXTJ - when she tests, she's 50/50 on the S/N scale. Personally, I'd say without any hesitation that she's an N, though. She's very concerned with the bigger picture and always, always thinks outside of the box. She can pull ideas for new business ventures out of her arse at a rate that is genuinely scary / awe inspiring. Girl done good.

Plus, I wasn't at all bothered about her "Making a choice" for me. I've been wanting to learn a language for years anyway - this was the boot up the arse that I needed, and she knows that.

I'm a fairly easy going guy most of the time. So long as nobody is constantly shitting on my parade, I'm pretty chill :smoker:

Then why the didn't you do anything about it for YEARS? I don't get your... logic?

As we have already discussed, motivation is a bit of an issue for me (read: I am a lazy shite :D).

Hello, PMJ. Welcome.

Hi!

intpz is fine, really. I just got the impression that he's somewhat young and... 'spunky' (?) I believe that means something along the lines of "Full of zeal" in American-ese, right?

No idea what you mean, care to elaborate?

Do I care to elaborate on an entirely inconsequential conversation, and / or a throwaway comment, made on an internet forum, directed at a complete stranger?

Short answer: No.

Slightly less short answer: No, because I don't care.

Also, your mum.

Next question!

But I didn't want to elaborate, damnit! *throws tantrum*

The question re: motivation? My dear sir, I am a serial underachiever. This I have come to accept. I am an armchair philosopher, unable to give any of the fucks about getting anywhere in life because I see my entire existence as utterly without consequence. If I cannot change the world for the better in some way, I must resign myself entirely to apathy and simply 'make do' with my lot.

Ja?

So in short, you won't explain what you said because you don't want to and yet want is not enough for you to go to language courses?

I don't get it why some people need to get a boot stuck in their asshole to do what they want.

And anyway, it seems to me that you didn't want it in the first place, just trying to find excuses to not be angry at your EXTJ girlfriend.

Have you done everything you wanted to do? If not, it would be hypocritical to negatively judge people who need a 'boot up their ass' to do something they want to do.

Anyway, the answer is really simple (or not), it's called laziness.

He's into her, and being 'into someone' (call it whatever you want) provokes intangible feelings, one of those 'feelings' include happiness, which would alter ones behavior by temporary changes (not necessarily negative) in ones brain chemical balance, I guess. - That's the magic of pussy for you.

I'm just making assumptions, don't know.

I've done everything I've wanted to IF I had the means to do so. So to take his example: if I wanted to learn another language, I would've started learning it because it's free. It's true that I didn't do many things because I was too shy when I was young, however, shyness isn't laziness. Shyness is a wall you've to get over through to THEN meet laziness. Laziness is the last step before motivation, which is the last step before action: want or need -> various disorders(?) like shyness -> laziness or ambition -> motivation -> action. "I need to clean up my backyard. I'm shy because I don't want my neighbor to *something*; right, I remember that he's out for the weekend! I'm too lazy though, I'm good right here on my couch; however if I clean it up, I can grow weed! I don't really smoke weed though, but that's because I'm poor as fuck; however if I grow my own weed, it's free AND I can make money! Let's go clean that momma up!"

I knew this ESFP guy, he was lazy as fuck, when he started smoking weed, he became even lazier. Couldn't stand him more and more: no ambition, no goals, no needs. He was okay with the situation as it was, his life goal was to smoke weed and chill with his friends, as he put it. When I questioned his "logic," he looked at me oddly, puzzled. He thought that I am an idiot because I want something instead of nothing, and because I don't smoke weed. :D He often said "I'm too lazy to get up and get food, take a piss, take a shit, etc., when we were playing some game and talking through Skype, even if the character had to do nothing for 2 minutes to heal or something alike.

Yeah, sure, I get what you're saying, that's your point of view - but that's you; determined. He's simply not you. Why expect/want someone to change who isn't you unless that person wanted to change him or her self. (Don't people only ever desire change because of societal pressures anyway?) - Unless, of-course, you believe how you take on your life is absolutely the correct way, and others should conform? I know you don't.

Basically, if you're going to judge someone for being lazy, don't be surprised when someone (who is and was never shy) judges you for being shy.

Yes, they are not the same, but they are deeply rooted in psychology - laziness cannot be disregarded, and I do not see why one should be negatively judged for his or her nature. People should keep their subjectivity (not in all cases, it depends on the relationship really) to themselves; or at-least try.

Yeah I know a person just like you've explained - I can look down on people, although I keep it to myself, because I know I'm being subjective... Hey, I'm not going to question someone else's reality.

I don't want or expect him to change, I'm simply expressing my disagreement with his actions. And no, I don't believe that this is the only way that one should live a life, however while I do not expect (given up on that) or want (don't give a fuck unless they are impacting my life) others to change with the exception mentioned earlier, I do think that many people are stupid and should live their lives differently or even very differently.

I wouldn't be surprised if I was judged for being a human, why the fuck would I be surprised because of that? :D

I see laziness as a rather easy choice, while shyness not. I remember, at some point, I was shy to the point where I didn't want to talk to the clerk at a store, but at some point I went there to buy something for me, and so I had to talk to the clerk, because it was a computer store. There were unpleasant physical consequences to that, like sweating for example. Laziness can't cause such effects if violated: you won't start sweating because you took a language class because you actually wanted to do it.

While I'm okay with keeping it to myself as long as it doesn't affect me in ANY way (or I'm participating in a discussion), I do judge other people's reality, and often it's one fucking stupid reality. And besides, how are you being subjective if you are seeing someone's choice as subjective and saying that it's subjective? It's an objective opinion about their subjective decision, hence their reality.

P.S. I know at least someone will go after this, so I gotta address the big elephant in the room: my post is on a very basic level, undetailed, and that was intentional, I'm hoping, wholeheartedly, that the most detailed or abstract ideas will circumvent this post. :elephant:

Subjective.
Do you have a solid and complete understanding of laziness to arrive to the conclusion that it is an 'easy choice'? - Laziness being an easy choice is not a fact.

Well, that depends on the choice. However, in reference to the scenario you've stated, if someone decided to smoke weed and be extremely lazy; criticizing his laziness would be subjective - unless it was somehow a fact that laziness is the wrong choice, which brings morality into play, and morals are subjective.

If you've got implications (even short-term) on your health purely because you went against the "disorder," then it is not a choice. Otherwise, it is a choice.

What you're saying (and were saying in the previous post, though I skipped it at that point by thinking it was an overreaction) is that everything is subjective, which is true as any other "everything or everyone is" argument, however it is stupid to put such arguments into play, instead use your, more directed, opinion, which is much more relevant in any discussion. Those arguments are there simply to end discussions, I've written about this elsewhere.

Of course he did - you were essentially beating him over the head with your sense of superiority, hating his rollin', etc.

I'm not sure you really understand what "Logic" means, or how it is integrated into our (entirely) subjective human existence / experience. To me, it appears somewhat obvious that you're rather low on T (like myself, probably) and feverishly trying to assert some kind of intellectual prowess in a silly, misguided attempt to save face. You are (or were) shy, and you coped with this by being angry at the world. You now sit atop a self-erected pedestal of imagined superiority, where you suffer delusions of grandeur on an epic scale.

So cute! :D

Some things said about me over the years:

- Affirming
- Charismatic
- Persuasive
- "Generous to a fault"

Obviously, INTJs can be none of those things.

Hmm,
Welcome PMJ)...

I see one will have little difficulty communicating with problem children.

Personally, I would have benefited greatly in having a mate that would have gently pushed me towards fulfilling my potential. Of course, such manipulation can be a 'make or break' variable in a relationship.

Are you saying that I shouldn't discuss anything with people who have different views OR do not express any views of my own? The questioning I did was merely asking the guy "do you want something else but smoking weed and chilling with your friends?", and after that "do you really do not want anything else from your life?", and the last one was "why not?" I've described his reaction after the first question I asked.

I'm not sure you really understand what quotes may portray, or how they may be used to illustrate a point. I'm not sure where you're getting the "low T" part too.

If you were shy as well, and coped with it by being angry at the world, that doesn't mean that everyone else who was (is?) shy copes the same way. Don't apply your way of reasoning to the decisions of others', different people have different reasoning, some idiotic (cope why shyness by being angry at the world? :D), some not or at least less idiotic.

:borg:

I have to ask - is English your primary language? Your ramblings are bordering on unintelligible.

If not, fair play.

If so... oh dear. Perhaps you're just young. I shouldn't judge.

@intpz is leet, don't hate. She is my mascot. :elephant:
She is Lithuanian, just like me!

I thought I was your god. Therefore I am god, hence I am everywhere. You, on the other hand, a mere roach somewhere in Southern California, wondering around a computer keyboard. While the fat dude snores on the huge chair nearby, with his greasy fingers still on the huge place full of grease, you can use his computer and type trolling messages.

I wonder if that guy is your alternate account or you are twins. :D

Interestingly, every single MBTI test I've taken over the past few days (I've tried several) have me pinned as an INTP, which is incorrect.

I have now been typed as every intuitive type under the sun.

Conclusion: ESFP.
