Hey there, I'm new !!

Well I'm new here so I decided to introduce myself. So here goes I'm 16 years old I'm going to be a junior in the fall. I just had a really random thought and I don't know what to write so I'll share with all of you. How lucky you must feel. Well anyway here it is. I was playing portal I'm assuming at least some of you reading this know what that is well anyway what if you were to put a portal on the floor and then lets say you took a piece of plywood and put a portal on that and then you threw that piece of wood through the first portal where would the wood go? anyway I hope I can have a good time here.

if you're talking about portal the game, you cannot put portals on objects that the player can move directly w/o a script ie the cube. As for the hypothetical, i duno :X the piece of wood would exit from its point of entry?

what if you were to put a portal on the floor and then lets say you took a piece of plywood and put a portal on that and then you threw that piece of wood through the first portal where would the wood go?

The portals would "loop" until one of the portal-on-portal interactions fails to register with the physics engine, which more than likely results in the plywood-portal shooting off in a random direction at high velocity.
That is if your computer doesn’t crash first.

In terms of real-world physics, the neigh impossible occurrence of two wormholes interacting would create extreme time/space phenomena, by nature wormholes are far too unstable to ever interact with each other, they would collapse long before their event horizons met, so the forces, and thus the energy/mass required to force this occurrence would be astronomical, so going by the general rule of thumb when playing with anything that involves that much, uh stuff, I can safely assume it'll explode.

Well, the portal is only so wide, right? Maybe it would just get stuck... You know, the edge of the plywood hitting the inside edge of the portal on... itself?

Although that leads me to wonder what would happen if you sawed the piece of plywood in half while it was in the middle of this time-space 'knot'.
