Hello all.
I registered here some 18 months ago, and have not yet posted, so I thought it might be about time. I have been browsing this forum once in a while through these one and a half years though. Also, this is an effort to rise up from the filthy bottom of the internet - where trolls, white supremacists and cats reside - and into the relatively neat and intellectually rewarding forum that i consider INTPforum to be.
I am now doing a one-year course on Social Anthropology at university, which is a field moderately irrelevant to my interests. Parallel to this, I am retaking all the high school subjects that are necessary for me to get a good enough grade to start a bachelor degree in chemistry or biology (haven't decided yet) next year, hoping to escape the shallowness of the other anthropology students and enter the cold, sterile chemistry labs.
Other than this, I enjoy playing chess and historic strategy games, my favorite being EU3. I also enjoy reading, some of my favorite works being the Hitch-Hikers Guide to the Galaxy series, To Kill a Mocking Bird, The Great Gatsby and Animal Farm. As a mid-teen INTP I believed I had the answer to everything and that I could handle any situation that required intellect, inflating my self-image. I'm not sure if this was for better or worse, but it led me to develop a persisting interest in world affairs, politics, philosophy, history and - of course - psychology, leading me to discover MBTI some 2 years ago.
I'm looking forward to participating in these words, rather than just browsing.
