Some years ago I took an online test and my result was INTP, which I guess most would have understood without me telling. However, I had little interest in personality theory at that time so I never researched it.

Later, however, I became interested in personality and started to do just that, I took several tests, scored INTP and I started reading more on MBTI and especially my type. I could relate to much of what I read, and as I started lurking here I saw that I could relate to the general characteristics of other INTPs.

The forum seems interesting, so I'm probably going to stay.

Best regards.

Welcome to the forums. Also, could you tell us a little more about yourself? It's typical for a newcomer to provide us with some info.

Thank you for the welcomings!

I live in one of the Nordic countries (guess which; I'm making it easy, nevertheless; hints: several Finno-Ugric languages are spoken there or have been spoken there, though those speakers do not necessarily represent the majority; the mainland of the country is conjoined to three other states) and I'm in my late teens.

I have a wide range (plethora or myriad, if you like) of interests, to mention a few; linguistics, history, politics, genetics and biology, society (perhaps especially society; I like to cerebrate of ways to improve society and to cogitate of possibilities and the future f. e.).

Seeing as I probably will stay further and "settle", I will confide you with more personal information.

Best regards.

PS: I like the dark background with the white letters, it's much more pleasant for the eyes and the strain when reading is lesser.

The Hives! (<-not Finnish, but hey, they're the shit and geographically close enough).

Are strawberries really a big deal out there or is my worldview biased from reading 1960s National Geographic magazines while in high school?

The Finno-Ugric part really put you off, didn't it? Not that I said that Finno-Ugric speakers are not necessarily the majority. :D

I live to the west of both Finland and Sweden; Norway. There's national minorities like Sami and Skogfinner who are Finno-Ugric speaking peoples. Norway is conjoined with Sweden, Finland and Russia.

I'd like to think our relationship with strawberries is a normal one. Although when you mention it, we do seem to like strawberries, it's a part of the Norwegian summer to eat strawberries in a way.

A while ago, it wasn't rare that kids would spend their summer vacations gathering strawberries in their relatives (often grandparents') strawberry fields. That must have been tiring, spending the summer vacation working in strawberry fields must have felt like forever.

Oh, no. I have only written 5 posts (err... make that 6 posts), three of them in this thread, and I have been greeted by a pipe smoking shark, I have already been boo'd and I'm -10 points already. Perhaps going out-of-lurking wasn't such a good idea?

This was highly inviting and I joined this forum for that single reason, thank you.

For future reference a shark smoking pipe would be even more inviting.

I thought that was a shark smoking pipe.

For further future reference, a smoking piping a shark or a shark pipeing a smoking would be even more inviting.
