I always viewed taking personality tests as your mind knowing it's being tested and projecting/altering the answers to get the results desired. I remembered that I had taken an MBTI test a few years ago and decided to take it again and check for consistency. Results were the same so I decided to do some more looking into and found this place here which seems to be loaded with people of a similar fate.
I'm not sure how long I will be on here, hopefully this thing has email notifications. I tend to join forums/discussions, get really involved and then disappear when something new and shiny comes along.
I'm co-opting the questions from the sticky in this forum as I would continue to type until I got bored and posting them here so I have my own space rather than a reply. Oh the ego.
What is your name?
Tony
Where are you from?
Seattle, and residing in the Midwest. I will be up in Minnesota specifically Minneapolis/Duluth this weekend if anyone is interested in meeting a complete stranger they know nothing about from the internet.
How old are you?
23
What's your gender?
Male
How did you find out that you were INTP, or other type?
Multiple tests over time.
How did you find out about this forum?
A link on another site.
Do you have a partner/lover?
I've had many lovers and few partners. Currently nothing serious.
Do you have any kids?
No.
Do you have any pets?
I get pets when I get bored and that usually lasts a couple of months. The last pet I had I bought last May, it was a snake. I sold it in July.
Which hobbies absorb you the most?
Travel, music, and females.
How do you generate an income?
However Kramer in Seinfeld got money, that's how I get it. I have no idea how I have money but whenever I need it I seem to come up with it.
Hardest thing about being INTP?It's difficult with females in serious relationships. It's great for short term intense relations but beyond that it's hard for them to understand why you are the way you are and do the things you do. The other thing would be finishing projects. I love working on projects, I always have multiple projects going on. That's the only fun part, finishing it is no fun.
Aside from all the above, I'm trying to find out if I'm a sociopath. Of course I'm not going to go in and get evaluated as one as that would be on my record. I find that, as a lot of INTP's do, I engage in discussion to help myself arrive at answers to my own question rather than empathizing/sympathizing with what someone else has to say. Maybe that's why I'm here? Maybe I want to feel understood? I suppose time will tell.
