hello again!: a re-introduction

i frequented this forum long ago. you might remember me, but you probably don't. i certainly don't remember most of you!

but anyway. i am shoeless. i am twenty years of age. i haven't had an interest in MBTI for a long time now; that phase ended shortly after i met my fiance. regardless, this place has some interesting discussions and i'm hoping to relive some of the good ol' days in that respect.

i used to frequent the video thread ("INTP's on youtube", or something to that effect) but i've noticed that entire section of the forum has become practically a graveyard. if anybody has any interest in rekindling that thread, or even remaking it under a new title, please let me know. i'll be the first to post a video if i can get some others to go along with me.

Hello!

I would be interested in the video thread you mentioned,
but there seems to be a problem with video-heavy threads in general, at least for me.
When i open, for instance

it takes forever to load, since somehow the video content all gets buffered at once.
It must have something to do with youtube itself.

salmoneus: perhaps this problem could be fixed by simply posting links to the videos, instead of embedding them? alternatively we could use another video hosting website like vimeo (though i haven't used vimeo in quite some time; not sure of what other options are available). i'm sure there's a way around that problem. just have to try!

it is definitely slower to load than most pages for me - maybe not to the point of unbearable, but definitely slower.

There has been a small push to get some videos happening, but it's no longer centrally located. Rather, people start their own threads. This is an informal change, there's no real reason I am aware of that the old youtube thread has been a abandoned.

if anybody hasn't noticed, i did create a new video thread (originally in the lounge -- instantly moderated into the elysium, for whatever reason). there isn't much content to respond to at the moment, but i was hoping people would simply introduce themselves to begin with. if this doesn't jive with you fellows, that's cool, i get it. if the thread dies, then such is life. but if anybody has any interest in keeping it going, please post something! if nothing is posted by the end of this week, i might post one more video including more content for discussion (if i can get off my lazy over-worked and under-paid ass to do so). hopefully we can generate some replies so that my video doesn't feel like such a waste of forum space.
