I'm throwing off the chains of religion, specifically, leaving the lds (mormon) church. Got my cranberry juice and my bottle of vodka ready to go, it shall be my first alcoholic drink.

Also, returning here to post now and then. happy new year everyone!

Was going to create this thread if it wasn't already here but...

(short version)
So I got invited to a new year’s party/birthday party by guys I hardly know. (I didn’t know the birthday girl until I turned up) So I figured why not it will be amusing at least and turned up. The party started at 4:20 (hur hur) and much drinking was started (plus some people smoking marijuana). After revealing where I live I was classed as a criminal, then given pity at all the horrible things that must have happened to me when I was younger. At some point in the night I showed off my interpretive dance that amused and was probably going to be the most remembered thing at the party (was told by several people that no matter how drunk they got they would never forget it). After like 14-20(?) drinks the power went out and we started having the cake. It was a great cake so I ate at A LOT.

New Year happened, fireworks blah, blah and I ended up back inside. (Power was back) Not inside the original house though, I was in some random girl’s house and there ended up being two girls and I baking pies and sitting on the veranda with music. I space out completely and as I try to regain some control I wake up to a very strange interview process about my face(?) This was the point they told me the cake had marijuana in it. After being asked if I was going to dance with them or sit there looking creepy I offered to do both and started dancing again.

After ending back in the original house somehow some guys rocked up after midnight and restarted what was left of the party. At this point the police stuck a flashlight over the wall and asked if the fire was under control. After assuring them it was they left completely ignoring everything else that was going on. I think this is when the party started to dissolve and everybody fell asleep.

So how did you spend New Year’s Eve?

Exciting!

My evening will be much more pedestrian, but personally fulfilling. I'll go to bed early and get up early to think upon the whichness of what.

I will celebrate by going to bed early. I still haven't recovered from the end of the world trauma on December 21, 2012 and need more rest.

I got a good, hearty belly laugh from that. Thanks, Architect. :)

It usually takes slapstick or other crude humor to get that from me, but glad I could help :)

Well I had my first good news of 2013. I wrote a script last year that creates an automatic directory structure every night in the form YYYY/MM/DD (for saving pictures, audio, movies, and the weather for that day). Got up this morning to find that it correctly started a new year. Success!

Are Mormons required to be teetotallers? I didn't know that.
