There's a core group of people here that have similar motivations to my own for being here. And there's a group of individuals who don't. I found a few of the more serious posts (and explanations) very interesting and wish that less-facetious persona came out more often.

I come here to put my guard down because it's the only place I really can. That's what I've been searching for most of my life and what I've found here. It's a safe place for INTP's. Or at least it was and the atmosphere is definitely slipping and becoming a bit more facetious.

A bit more like everywhere else.

Yes, as annoying as the facetious face was, along with all the spammers he/she seemed to usher in, I'm going to miss the serious face. It seems that since his/her arrival, the caliber of the forum has decreased a bit, but even then...

No matter how complex Hir various faces and fronts where, he was probably opening up and wanting to be understood in the way he felt he could. A kind of mutant form of attacking and revealing his true self simultaneously, in order to counter the potential pain of rejection. I liked (like) him a lot, in that he spoke a language I love but rarely hear-- the language of meaning beyond stated meaning and action beyond obvious intent.

S/He seemed lonely. I hope that s/he has true friends who appreciate those aspects of hirself that s/he attempted to express here.

p.s. This may be a misinterpretation. It's just the impression I got from limited exposure to Hir.

Face has been temporarily banned from posting on the main forums, and asked me to announce this on her behalf.

A large majority of her posts were hostile and ill-tempered. From time to time, she would offer up a serious response.. but by and large her posts were spiteful and charged. I'd love for her to come back, only if she calmed down a bit.

I liked Face. This sucks if it's true. Face was not upfront about who he/she is, but I liked the way it expressed itself. I can also see how it's expression could be confusing or insulting to members who didn't understand it's sense of humor. I think it's presence here had the ability to serve as a reminder not to take everything so seriously and not to be quick to anger. It would be easy to become quite indignant at some of it's comments if you didn't come to realize how harmless they were.

Then again, I'm a fan of facetious humor, but also one of serious discussions. I can imagine how that's not always easy to reconcile on an internet forum.

Oh, and no one leaves, they just come back with a new face.

I would just like to say that my post wasn't with mean intent but obviously read as being insulting. It's my sarcastic, warped sense of humor which doesn't really translate on a forum. I like face and never had a problem with him/her. I saw my comment as over the top and not to be taken seriously, but I can't guarantee those who read it would interpret it in the same manner. I apologize, because it does create a nasty atmosphere.

I was just starting to warm up to Face. Face really kept me on my toes, I never knew how to react because hir was such an interesting character and I could never really know what to make of hir.

Anyways, if Face is leaving, then I am too! Two birds with one stone! I don't feel important enough to start my own thread about this, but I do feel I learned all that I can about myself in this forum. I have grown a lot since coming here. Maybe I used this forum as a form of rehab. I just feel that I am not interested and don't belong in many of the discussions here. Thank you guys for listening to my whining and bitching for the past two months.
