Have you ever watched something and saw a character that you would think to have the ideal personality of your desired partner?

If so.....
what do you think your MBTI type is?
what show?
what do you think their personality is?
why?

I don't watch to many tv shows or movies but I do watch anime. My ideal female characters are:

Deviluke, Momo Velia - from To LOVE-Ru Darkness - ENFJ (I think) - She has plans for the future and uses her ability to manipulate peoples emotion to carry them out. Also, outrageously seductive.
Gasai, Yuno - from Mirai Nikki - INFJ (I think) - She is like this stalker, who is focusing on one guy. She has plans of her own a seems to be a good strategist. Using her ability to manipulate peoples feelings, gets what she wants.

ENFJ first choice. INFJ second IMO oh and i'm INTP.

I used to be mildly infatuated by the Mallory character played by Justine Bateman

Her sweet ditziness seemed a nice contrast to my intense INTPness. Not sure what type to assign to the character, she played more of a personality than a type. ESFP or ideally ENFP I would think.

Oddly the actress has aged quite a bit since then (as have I), and is now working on a career in software engineering. Small world.

Seems like an ENFP if I had to guess. More Ne then Se, also considering how shes doing a rather later then average career change.

Cibo from the manga "Blame!", tall, intelligent, soft eyes, and her gender really has very little to do with her character, well except near the end but by this time so much body swapping and memory loss has occurred it's not really the same character anymore anyway. I digress, what I like about her is that she's driven, resourceful and insatiably curious, the sort of person who will enter a portal to hell just to see what's on the other side then immediately wonder how there's a breathable oxygenated atmosphere when there's no plants to produce it.

I could imagine a relationship with her being technically possible, assuming you can keep up with her curiosity driven behaviour without going crazy, so either you're science crazy too, she needs you for something, or you are the object of study. In short she's someone who is completely ill-suited for any kind of normal relationship and actually pursuing one with her is somewhere between futile, foolish and suicidally stupid.

So, yeah, never mind.

Actually this has given me an idea for a new thread.

I like the synopsis for Blame! maybe I'll take it up to see exactly what you mean by character swapping and memory loss.

I'm not sure where they would fit on the MBTI.
Tohru Honda, from Fruits Basket, or Yakumo , from School Rumble. Sweet women, happy to serve. Their lovable nature makes you want to keep them safe and make them as happy as they want to make you. I like how Tohru's head is in the clouds all the time, and how she can a bit clueless. Yakumo is more perceptive than Tohru, so I wouldn't have to explain as much to her.

I guess I'm just boring. Not looking for adventure or super intelligence. Just want a nice, sweet girl. The best part about these girls, is that they like people for who they are and tries to find the good in everyone. Me being a misanthrope could use that in a partner.

No.

I could spend years ranting about fictional fancies, but I don't believe an 'ideal partner' exists in reality, much less in the limited scope of a fictional psyche.

Though I did once write a wretched character who through mental dysfunction was inclined to love everyone selflessly and completely.

Even then I think, one would feel sickened by the sincerity and loyalty eventually.

Interesting, you would rather buy women to fulfill your earthly desires? Maybe I am misinterpreting but when I think about it this way I can't help but think what if they used us guys like that? Would we be happy to be used like some type washcloth then thrown away? Especially, if we don't need money. What if women only got into relationships with other women and men were forced to endure sexual deprivation, rape any female they saw, stand on corners as prostitutes, or become gay?
