'lo and behold, an ENFJ.

Your arch nemesis, with the all powerful Fe, and a really cute smile.

I like psychology, neuroscience, MBTI, Jung, the term "highly sensitive", I study body mannerisms and their correlation to the Jungian functinos. I video blog about things. Then, I have a life on the side where I hang out with friends, my closest friends are INFP's and an INFJ and an ESFP. I don't have too much T around, a couple of INTP's.

I came by because I'm trying to get connected to every single MBTI community there is, to learn more about things.

Oh, I've also looked a bit at the enneagram, thinking about how it could be applicable/if it really is applicable at all.

I'm 20.

I'm vegan.

What kind of F type introduces himself as the "arch nemesis" :D

I sense great T within you, yesssss, you may be interpersonally adjusted to make judgements emotionally but you're evidently seduced by ideas, hence your fascination with MBTI and enneagram typology, you desire to understand.

@INTPforum
We shall corrupt this one.

Edit: 22, carnivore, ENTP

ENFJ, eh? ENFJ = Fe Ni Se Ti.
INTP = Ti Ne Si Fe and I am an INTP. So your weakest is the strongest here and vice versa. Too bad you are handicapped by not being able to see our body mannerisms while your sociality is exposed.

Welcome! :phear: I will find it interesting how you interact around this forum, but I hope you have a good time here.
I have wanted to see what other MBTI comunities are like for a while now, which ones do you find most interesting?

Goodluck in your quest to to be the first extravert feeler to understand an introvert thinker. Atleast you got past the ignorance 'you should all just be like us' phase, which means I like you already <3 (nohomo).

I'm hardly the first. ^^ Most of my friends are introverts, I find their inner world fascinating. I've spent quite a few years living in semi-solitude due to various problems, today I struggle more with balancing things out. I do think some introverts should get out more though, but the same goes for extroverts, sometimes we have a tendency to merge ourselves so much with the external world we forget about ourselves in it. And that's when things go bad.

Which community is the best? I don't know really, the infjs-community was kinda boring tbh, the intjsforum doesen't seem to have much going on(but then I haven't been around there for too long), and then i'm connected to alot of the fb ones and those are OK, the content varies. Youtube is best for getting info, and then there's some gold posts spread around everywhere.

I do believe an ENFJ can be smarter than an INTP if they, well, are smarter. Emotions is my biggest drive to do and accomplish things, so they become energy which I use to pursue my goals. My only problem is my extremely subjective worldview and a tendency for convoluted logic at times, ENFJ's may jump to assumptions a bit too quickly, they have trouble keeping their opinions to themselves so they may end up zigzagging between opinions, until they've found their clear footing.

Sure. Any temperament can be smarter than any other temperament. Just because an INTP is at ease with mental activities doesn't mean they are good at it. Just because an ENFJ might be active and too quick doesn't mean they wouldn't do well. This INTP likes to straighten things out and make them clear which doesn't mean lots of confusion in getting there or even success in getting there at all if things are too heavy.

ENFJ's are not the arch enemy, that distinction probably goes to the ISTJ. The only issues with ENFJ's is their need to socialize which conflicts with our need to hibernate. Which also is a good thing because as a mated pair the ENFJ can provide the social matrix for the INTP to live within.

You're a vegan? Are you interested in a rich, good looking 40 something vegan? (nevermind, I've got an INFJ already)

Welcome ...

What makes you think that? One of my closest friends is an ISTJ actually. A part from the obvious differences (the organised black'n'white ISTJ) I think we share a lot of common ground when it comes to; socialization, rationalism, no-bullshit extroverted small talk etc.. An ENFP can really piss off an ISTJ though - I know that from experience :)

There is no law against being friends with ISTJ's. There is however, a trend for us to not get along. I live in a house with one and while I have no problem with him, we cannot hold a conversation without the other being frustrated or bored.

I administered the MBTI test to a population in a prison. 83% of them tested out as ISTJ. I think that the ISTJ may be everyone's enemy... (?)

That's actually really interesting to hear after looking at this :

http://www.personalitypage.com/ISTJ.html

"ISTJs are quiet and reserved individuals who are interested in security and peaceful living. They have a strongly-felt internal sense of duty, which lends them a serious air and the motivation to follow through on tasks. Organized and methodical in their approach, they can generally succeed at any task which they undertake.

ISTJs are very loyal, faithful, and dependable. They place great importance on honesty and integrity. They are "good citizens" who can be depended on to do the right thing for their families and communities. While they generally take things very seriously, they also usually have an offbeat sense of humor and can be a lot of fun - especially at family or work-related gatherings.

:P

Oh yea, welcome :)

Yes, However, we talked about the MBTI results and the convicts, themselves, were not surprised at the results, that seemingly differed from that of the general population. They explained it as a matter of environment, which made sense at the time. I don't recall too many specifics, except that many of them came from similar SES backgrounds.

It may not be that the majority of ISTJ are criminals, but rather the few that are make very poor criminals and so get caught and incarcerated - the opposite of what one could infer from the results...;)

Good, good, Anarkandi. We should join team and enslave all the INTPs to use as we see fit. They only sit in front of the computers wasting their lives anyway.

I wont read any of those other posts because I'm ENFP but it's mostly because I had just enough alcohol to not care.

Oh now, who said extraverted feelers can't be logical? You show a great aptitude for rational thinking and conclusion formulation, just right here.

what does being a vegan have to do with intps? nothing
what does an intp forum have to do with your need for attention? nothing
lurk more if you want to learn. but quit the transparent attention seeking hijacking threads. you are no special snowflake, not for being an enfj here, not for your friend collection, or your stupid veganism. 'lo and behold another attention whore! big deal. "I want to learn more about.... by talking about myself" LOL. lies. boring lies.

I like ENFJs. I consider them quite nice, and to have more of a general goodness slant to them, even if I consider their logic fucking ropey.

On a side note I think ISTJs are criminals many times as it provides the structure and family that maybe their shit upbringing didn't provide.
SJs love rules but can be a rule unto themselves imho. I personally find them the easiest of all the S types to get on with.

If you wanted nemesis, I fucking hate ESTPs. Just reading their profile makes me want to hurt them. Followed closely by ESFJs.

thehabitatdoctor. Who needs love when you have superior logic? :)

Seriously? If true that is an amazing statistic. I hate to say that I can believe it, the ISTJ's I've known have been the most wound up individuals I've ever met.

Yes! but my sample was not a random sample for my clients were all model prisoners who had been imprisoned for drug offenses. Perhaps in another country they would have turned out to be model citizens, instead of model convicts (?)

However, most of them came from low SES backgrounds and drug trafficking was just a part of their communities' economies.

Interestingly enough, amongst the other types in the group, a high proportion were certifiably suffering from mental disorders, While most of the ISTJs were sane.

You forgot to test the prison guards. My suspicion is that they'd be mostly ISxJ's too.

@Anarkandi

ENFJ's are most welcome, but NO VEGANS!

No, just kidding. Hope you stick around. This place could use some contrast as of late.
