Anyone else love this book? I love the simple writing style used, akin to Isaac Asimov.
P.S. It's a shame that Orson Scott Card seems to be going insane as he gets older... (insane in the self-righteous, radical christian sense.)

I can see Ender's Game making a really good (and violent) in-class debate on morality. I wouldn't know though. We had to read "The Time Traveler's Wife" in my sci-fi classI read that book for a Science Fiction class I took last year. I think having discussions on books as you read helps you see themes you normally wouldn't (sooner than you would at least). I would have thought "Pretty good book" but thanks to the discussions I thought "amazing book".
I cried like a baby over what they did to Ender. The manipulation, torture, and pressure really made me feel ill. My friend encouraged me to read it but all he could talk about were the political aspects rather than the psychological and philosophical ones..
I don't know how to word it(haven't read the book in years), but the recurring theme of Ender fully understanding(/loving) something and doing so crushes/kills it was heartbreaking. I don't know if that makes sense.
"Humanity does not ask us to be happy. It merely asks us to be brilliant on its behalf."
Really loved Enders game and Enders Shadow. Enders Shadow was probably the best. Bean was more influential to me than Ender. The rest of the books weren't bad, though it alittle amateur.
