*I think I've read in a few places that that sort of advertising, geared towards men (using men) and women (using men) is pretty recent, and a change in attitudes towards men's bodies, as they become more objectified, as the power of the sexes evens out in a somewhat counter-intuitive manner. (Sort of like Higgins, whose claim to equal treatment is that he treats everyone like dirt.)

*Can't provide any sources though.

Actually, I believe I've read this somewhere as well. As a matter of fact, I'm sure I read it recently in an older book as well. I'm trying to remember what the book was called though. Might have been Sexual Paradox, but it is an 08 book. I noticed how men's and women's magazines had women on them. I can't deny that men are actually appearing on more things- on their own motorcycle and fitness magazines.

I happen to think that the true use of an ambiguous pronoun in the English language will do the most for gender problems. I'm a book freak, I think words have all the power.

It's true. And I've decided that I'm enjoying where this is going so I'll stop bitching now.

Have you now? Yes, I like it to. :twisteddevil:

So, correct me if I am wrong, but isn't attention seeking more correlated with feelers anyway?

From the theory perspective, it would be Extroverts who demand attention. Feelers aren't necessarily attention whores, they like being connected to people and feeling connected. If they are deprived of those feelings, I suppose they might act out and find was to get attention. I think extroverts can also get this way though, if they don't feel like they get enough attention and can't interrupt well enough- which seems to be their trademark.

Anyone who feels deprived of connection, attention or validity will probably do something to fill that.

Everyone does it in their own way. I don't know if I know other INTPs. I have nerdy friends, the only person I think could be an INTP is just hilarious, not on purpose, but he talks as if he's some real dangerous bad ass. Says he's unstable and all this crap. I totally laughed (later), because we just got out of a Disney movie for godsake.

If you come out of a G rated animated Disney movie and state that you're unstable-- I can't even keep a straight face long enough to put that one through the wringer. There are so many things ironically right with that.

"But she started feeling: "I feel neglected! We were first! I am not used to waiting! I am too good for this! etc" <-- this tells me she has introverted judging function as dominant or auxiliary, so she is IxxP or ExxP. I'm inclined more towards her having Fi as Fi is self-empathizing from within so some people with developed Fi types can be self-loving to an unhealthy manner. Because she took action about it fact and reacted to the moment she probably also has Se so she'd be ISFP or ESFP.

Ti is another possibility. If she uses Ti and felt that her competence was somehow threatened then she might have acted out in response to this.

The woman in this video is ESFP - throughout her talk you can sense she places a lot of emphasis on how she personally feels about events and different situations that unfold and makes feeling judgements in the moment. You might also sense that she places a lot of value on herself and on the individual overall: YouTube - Julia Sweeney: "Letting Go of God" (an excerpt)

Impossible. Women eat before they go on dates to avoid looking like a pig during the date.
Any proof to that theroy that women do? You said Women so I'm going to believe your refering to all kinds of women not any one limited kind.

The girl just sounds extroverted, if we are only assessing the restaurant incident, it's possible to be any type and vocally demanding.

Whaaat. I always thought seeing girls with a healthy appetite was kinda hot, not piggish.

Truth. I wouldn't want to see a girl who stuffs her face like some of my male friends, but definitely one who is not afraid to display her humanity.

Humanity also includes defecating. It's not reasonable. Ti girls probably don't even consider such a tactic. However, Fe is strange, and I know many female Fe...s. When I make fun of women, I'm actually making fun of Fe.

Allow me to correct myself. Display her humanity to an extent that is societally acceptable for ANY person to.

Damaged feelers should be avoidied unless you are a master of restorative emotion and comforting small talk, which I presume none here present are.

It's a pity they're kinda cute.

You mean extraversion in general on all functions? So you mean all Se, Ne, Te and Fe tend to demand attention? I dont think so!

I think Fe definitely is closest to the attention whore.

Te and Ne can be like rational bulldozers if they are turned on, as they can keep on coming at you, but these are not attention-whore-like, these situations are probably just where their Te or Ne is trying to prove a point (although they could demand attention, they usually dont do it just for the attention).

Se is always reaping the moment / getting the max out of the moment. So if an Se-dominant can get away with drama/screams/tantrums/etc at a particular moment it is quickly spotted by an Se-dominant which will want to act on that then to reap the moment.

I guess Se & Fe together is the fatal combination regarding the attention whore subject.

Still wondering how Se & Fi would work regarding the attention whore subject (in comparison to Se & Fe)

OMG...I guess my date was not that bad after all...
