Just a fun thing I do when I'm bored.

Start with the name. Where they live. Describe his/her family. Then, you get to choose a power for your person, how they discovered their power, are they good or bad, why do they choose to use their power for good/evil.

As I was entering this thread I thought INTP-man would have every super power, to a lesser degree, for example heat vision that can boil a cup of water if he stares at it for 15min, flight to only about a foot of the ground (from higher up he can slow his fall, but less effectively the further up he is) he's immune to paper cuts and Indian burns, can heal only a little faster than the average human being, is only a little more intelligent, a little bit faster, a little bit stronger, can teleport 30cm from center of mass to new center of mass, knows a little martial arts, knows a little bit of everything in fact.

Is that not the quintessential INTP superhero? Not good at anything but can do everything.

best description of ENTP for sure.

with superpowers both have unique perspectives, Ti dom, the thinker, being more in the realm of understanding wordily situations, getting into the strategic aspect of peoples heads, foreseeing strategic moves (mission impossible, the avengers) tricking people into making mistakes by feeding them information or fake scenarios, Ni dom, the perceiver, being more in the realm of psychology, knowing people's essence behind their appearance (seeing through vampires and aliens too, knowing when lied to), being psychic about what spirit/motive moves individuals or communal entities/tribes (millenium, maybe columbo), taking advantage from psychological dissonances, exploiting differences between self-image and true self. possibly abduct people into a psychotic dreamworld.

the problem with your Ti dom hero is that no one will understand the book, except Ti doms.

the Ni dom's adventure can be written as an experience/illustration that can be followed by most (albeit may would have little interest), the process get's to you without requiring an conceptual understanding of it, albeit the latter could make it a lot more spicy

Her name is Cognisant and she lives in Australia. Her power is to be a talking kangaroo, but she hasn't discovered it yet. She is kind of bad, because she is drunk all the time, but deep inside of her, she is a little wallaby, who just wants to be hugged.

And her sidekick is SandMizzle hopping mouse, he's a rough and tough super lightweight super enthusiastic wannabe boxing champion, except he's chronically shy around girls he doesn't know so he spends most of his time hiding in Cognisant's pouch, a truth he denies furiously.

I think an INTP would spend too much time questioning the nature of good and evil to actually fight crime.

Plus, y'know, it would mean I'd have to go outside my hovel and shit. :slashnew:

Do I have to..? Fine...

The Procrastinator was the first to make a comic. Oh, the irony. :D

I would pay actual money for a comic like this.

I would debate paying actual money for this. Then I would debate pirating it. Then I would debate whether the decay of IP enforcement has been counteracted by the increased ease of transmission and decreased capital requirements. Then I would grab a snack.

As would I, but I see the plot going dead quickly as the issues become repetitive. Perhaps more of a graphic novel than a comic series?
either that or we can wait for "next months issue" that never seems to get finished

Haha, this is pretty cool(love the tagline), it really does have a perfect concept, especially for the internet scene.

Do you do autographs? :p

I'm considering doing a PhD on Alan Moore (comic writer) at the moment, so if I meet a comic artist at university I'll consider it. I agree that it's more of a web-comic concept than a graphic novel. :p

Or I guess I could just learn MS paint properly. It'd be like a mash-up of super-hero parody and electric retard. :D

I only know a little about him from V for Vendetta, a PhD is pretty ambitious though.

Haven't heard of / read ER before, and I think the drawings are fine, they go with the theme of procrastination.

The "Spark of Mind"

They would be just any old INTP, but then have the superpower of being able to bring any and all of their mental constructs into reality at will.

Intpra

Our heroine is considered stormy and shrouded in mystery, though through no effort to be so of her own, as she lurks what are assumed by most to be the murky empty shadows on the outskirts of formalized reality in search of unadulterated truth. Avoiding all unnecessary contact with the mortal world, rarely seen but save for those sudden moments when she must become the staunch and merciless defender of logic and rationality, yet retreating quickly to her haven of solitude and rumination. The general populace views her with a wary and amused eye, seeking to emulate only what they misunderstand most of her and critically disowning her most intimate qualities with efforts to mold her into one of them, one of the laboring masses.

Intpra's strengths are as metaphors: The ability of vast Leaps and Bounds, the power of ahhh...

That's all I got.

:D thank you. I'm a wannabe writer.

...In addition to calling it how I saw it, I was also trying to wheedle myself a continuation of the story...unless it was an 'artistic choice' to drop it off there (due to INTPs not finishing anything and all).

(Yeah, we're all wannabe everythings. I'd say it's loving doing the learning/creating more than necessarily trying to do it "well")

Ah. I will come back and write more of the tale of Intpra, our misanthropic and unwilling heroine, with all her sense of unorthodox credulity and skepticism and the trials such personal dualism bring her.

Probably not tonight though. Maybe. Probably not. I usually only have about one good paragraph in me a day, that meets the standard of being worthy. In fact I see so much that could be edited and changed in the one brief paragraph I gave already that it is nearly a torment. I must not look at it.

Yay. -waits like a 4 year old for the story- :D

Didn't meant to derail this thread if I did. There are probably many more ways we could imagine an INTP hero.
