The general theory of color psychology is based on six principles - in no particular order.
Essentially, colors break down into two specific categories which are; Functional and Sensory-Social. Functional colors fulfill needs or solves a problem, while Sensory-Social colors represent attitude, status, or social approval.
So, how does Color Psychology have an impact, or lack thereof, on your life? Is your favorite color Functional or Sensory-Social, and is there a reason behind your choice of color?
Is there a specific pattern or color palette which unconsciously beckons you towards particular advertisements, and or your avatar?
- Specific Meaning
- Learned or Innate Meaning
- Automatic Evaluation of Perception
- Color Motivated Behavior
- Automatic Influence of Color
- Color and Meaning Based on Context
