In high school i really liked math, physics and chemistry and thought i would pursue a career in one of those fields, but in recent years i worked in education and became really idealistic. Also, i realized i'm half Thinking and half Feeling. Im not as emotionally stupid as i used to be and think i should do something to do with helping people directly. The problem is that i think that in education or social work i wouldnt fully implement my analytical abilities and thinking skills, but in science or technology i wouldnt realize my ideology.
I would really appriciate input from others who faced the same issue

Well, I've been considering environmental science myself.

Makes use of science abilities and involves doing a good thing for society.

I think by "Ideology", you may actually mean that you have an obsession with the truth. Idealists (NF types), like my brother Dan, are not nearly as good at articulating and defending their beliefs and certainly don't enjoy arguments as much, but do throw themselves into whatever it is they believe in. For example, he and I were both very much interested in the recent election, but I concentrated on arguing with the opposition, persuasion, and creating unique and brilliant arguments. He, on the other hand, sent money to our candidate, bought paraphernalia, attended political events, and volunteered for the campaign, but he hated arguments, avoided making any on the Internet, and attempted to persuade via sales techniques. I did none of those things, though I was very zealous online. I didn't even buy a bumper sticker, lol. If you're like me, trust me, its not idealism. Rational types (NTs) have a driving zeal for the truth. NF's (Idealists) have strong beliefs, but it revolves around their sense of the social order, which they seek to improve, and I wouldn't say that their commitment to the truth is nearly what it is for us.

Anyhow, I'm pursuing an MS in IT, and it's been rewarding. Tech is easily understandable, and as an INTP, I have a leg up there. Can't say what you're path is, but if you're really an INTP, stay the hell away from social work. Teaching, esp post-secondary, could be good, but you will hate people and get terrifically bored as a social worker.

I think they call it Earth
I've done log homes with my dad since I could sweep saw dust and when I was 18 I basically got a job offer to make twice as much and my dad couldn't pay it so then I did concrete and lemme tell you.. log homes or anything construction was way more laid back/thinking/art/difficult it just wasn't as physically demanding. it was fun to sit back on think of how to do something more efficient or how to make logs fit (scribe notches). good job for thinkers id say... concrete was exact opposite: "LET'S DO IT LIKE THIS!" "YOURE A PUSSY FOR THINKING OF A MORE EFFICIENT WAY" YOURE JUST LAZY!" "RAPIDO! RAPIDO!" anyways woodworking of any sort is fun shit but, small field, small demand, small future kinda

Ew. Yeah concreters are the worst at innovation. Not much has really changed in concreting in the last, what, 50 years? Concrete quality is just getting worse and worse too (as the quality of most other things gets better). It seems the only area concreters have been innovating in is the development of new ways to get away with failing to fulfil their duty.

I do hope you got out alive...

Woodworking is awesome and always will be - but yeah, sad the demand is so low. I'm so tired of seeing fake timber made of aluminium or laminates to replace the real thing. Like, why would you even want metal that is pretending to be timber? It makes no sense! Just more evidence of the superficiality of our modern societies I guess...

There is still high demand for the real thing, specifically cherry and maple I've noticed, but usually for people who have the money. I'm not sure which industry specifically you're referring to, but where I'm at people are more than willing to pay top dollar for the real deal, specifically because they don't want superficiality and cheap metal/plastic.

Referring to the building industry. Aluminium for false timber in building exteriors. Laminates for false timber on the interior.

It's a trend in large scale residential/commercial/institutional buildings.
