@Jah. What wasn't good was what was said probably, since all I recall is the process of extracting caffeine from tea during chemistry class. It wasn't all that safe....I remember having sore eyes and throat after inhaling too many solvents....but nevertheless being slightly delirious over the fact that we managed to extract quite a few grams of pure caffeine crystals from half a litre of innocent black tea.
One way of decaffeinating (verb?) coffee beans is to use solvents, mainly methylene chloride or ethyl acetate which is swirled around the green beans to extract the caffeine. Residual solvent is removed by steaming the beans....this is supposed to be a safe process, subject to strict laws....
I like drinking coffee because it makes me more extroverted.
And I will never give up caffeine...life is too short.
Even if said caffeine may have a hypothetical negative cumulative effect on my life span.
Quality, not quantity....
