BACKONTOPIX: I used to be bullied by a group of aryan asshats who thought it was cool to pick on loner. They threw tennis balls and pissed in my locker (yeah i fucking hate them). So one morning when i was in PE these fucktards thought it would be cool to try to dome me w/ a tennis ball.

i was like OH HELL THE FUCK NO! and pounced on that bastard like a dog on a mailman. We got into a fistcuff in the middle of the field with everyone watching :X. I didn't know what i got myself into, but thankfully his girlfriend pulled me off of him. When my adrenaline cooled off, i noticed my arms had streaks of blood running down them so i ran off to the WC to clean up... thing is it wasnt my blood it was his . Either way that prick never fucked with me again.

The moral of the story? Make a stand, don't give in to their crap. VICTORY OR DEATH! Bulling is only a problem if you let yourself be bullied.

If you are trying to say that ashitaria is in violation of the code of conduct around here, then you should make a specific complaint to the forum administrators and let them handle it.

If you are trying to say something else, it went by me, I'm afraid.

@Chimera, maybe ashitaria's choice to vent here wasn't the absolute perfect solution. But who is perfect? How exactly do you expect a 14-year-old to get better at coping if they don't have a chance to try out different coping techniques? If this doesn't turn out well, I have no doubt that ashitaria will make note and try a different technique next time.

Well, clearly we have seen totally different things going on here, which is very valuable to know.

I saw a young member in pain, who decided to post some anger someplace it felt safe. It might be an annoying thread, but I didn't think it threatened the forum as a whole. I've seen equivalent amounts of flaming in other threads here, and people went on just fine. So my reaction wasn't to defend the forum from attack, but to offer compassion. When people started attacking ashitaria so aggressively, I felt it was an overreaction. I understood why there would be annoyance, but I was puzzled by the hostility I saw.

You, however, saw behavior that undermined the very things you value in this forum, the community itself, and that is a completely different thing. That is not something to take lightly. Even if I didn't see any threat, if enough people did, then it could snowball into a real problem. That certainly would explain the levels of anger here.

So I apologize for being insensitive to you and anyone else who saw this thread as undermining what you value here. I didn't intend to dismiss your concern; I just didn't see it.

I still think this forum is strong enough to handle ashitaria's anger. But I won't overlook yours, either. Also, let me know if I still have not understood you.

I haven't actually seen any acrimony spilling out into other threads from this one. This thread has gone seriously off the rails, true, but that isn't the community-destroying snowball-effect we were discussing. If it had truly snowballed like you say, half the threads would now be filled with it, so I don't think it has yet reached desperate proportions.

Well, the point is, when you open a thread and can't stand it when people disagree with your opinion, you shouldn't bother with it in the first place. This is a discussion forum and not freaking LiveJournal.
