Brain –> Consciousness and Consciousness –> Brain.
=.
Is consciousness a result of evolution or it is its fuel ?
#
‘ Contrary to what everyone knows it is so, it may
not be the brain that produce consciousness, but rather
consciousness that creates the appearance of the brain - . . . .’
/ Book ‘ The Holographic Universe’ page 160.

Isn’t it a strange contradiction ?
But maybe it means what brain obeys the ‘dualistic law’ :
Brain –> Consciousness and Consciousness –> Brain.
Who knows ?

Why do people get so hung up on the idea that any human can Actually 'know' which X causes Y?

From my limited experience of 6 decades on this Earth, I have found that reality is a complex multivariate matrix that defies analysis, where shit just happens and no matter how much one examines some shit, one can never know for certain what "caused' it.

Causality is really just an illusion, as least, within the framework of philosophy. Now I know how to cause/create via the exercise of my free will in conducting intentional actions. However, the prevalent, yet obsolete, view is that there are no free wills or intentional acts of creation in the entire universe.

Be cause, Be! :cheerleaderkitties:

Because the distinction between cause and effect is completely arbitrary, every effect becomes a cause and every cause becomes an effect. :storks:

So in effect, in a universe comprised of effects, there can be only one cause, the very first one. The problem being is that there was nothing in the entire universe that had the power to cause that primordial mass of the Beginning to change in the slightest. :slashnew:

So like I said, causality is an illusion. If one can figure out the very first cause, the Prime Mover, then everything else will flow downhill from there - literally... But until then causality and logic are just word games, with no real winners

Was there a universe before there existed an aware consciousness?

If a tree falls in the forest does it make a sound?

What you should be asking is how many different consciousnesses existed before ours and what happened to them?

Implying consciousness is exclusive to our planet?
There are probably millions of advanced civilizations in the universe.

It's really hard for a random collection of atoms to develop human consciousness, let us not say there existed a greater civilization than our own prior to us, at least on this planet.
