How does one read a book per week? I seem to have a lot of trouble finding the time and processing all the information I've read. Although the books I read are probably not easy I am still under the impression a book a week is possible... but how?

Caffeine? Drugs? Injecting Red Bull and espresso into your veins? Being a nerdy 10 year old?

I don't know. I used to eat up books as a child but I haven't had the energy in years.

Read books with a lot of pictures in them.

On a serious note:
There is this self-help become-a-millionaire-in-40-steps guy called Tai Lopez who advocates reading one book a day or something like that. At some point he suggested just reading summaries of books. The idea to me is so bad that it's comical. It's obvious you won't understand anything of what you read beyond a very superficial level. I like to read a lot of academic papers, but that becomes a different thing because papers have abstracts and you can extract very precise and concrete pieces of information from them quite fast. A book, on the other hand, is typically an aggregation of a very wide range of deep topics which take years to fully understand.

I don't think many people here have ADHD. It makes reading pretty much any book a chore because its so hard to focus for so long.

If anyone knows how to get free audiobooks, let me know, please.

For me, it's achieved and surpassed by having a big stack of books 'on-the-go' with a bookmark in each. That way I don't have to slave over pushing through boring books or chapters. I just pick and choose what I want to read and when. I'd probably average 1-3 books a week.

This would probably never work if I ever read fiction. But I don't. Non fiction all the way.

Imma do the challenge.
My minimum reading speed is probably 180wpm, average page has 275 words, the average book has to say 300 pages. That's approx 8 hours per week. so 1h per day should be sufficient.

W2:
Steven Pinker- The Stuff of Thought
W3:
Marcus Aurelius- Meditations
W4:
