These topics are all cool and all... but I don't see how making a subforum for them changes anything (with the possible exception of QT's health and fitness idea).
If people start talking a lot about sports or biology, maybe there's an argument for creating a subforum. But there's nothing preventing those conversations from happening - they just don't thus far because of lack of interest or whatever else.
With biology, it already falls underneath the science tag. Psychology and neuro has its own forum because it makes up more threads than the rest of science/technology put together. I can't remember the last conversation about biology that happened here.
With sports, I think it runs counter to the culture we've got here. I could be mistaken, but I think this is legit the first hint of enthusiasm I've heard for sports.... the entire time I've been here.
The way I see it, the structure of the forum should either serve some intended function, or reflect the conversation that already exists here. Making new subforums won't wish these conversations into life.
I do agree with QT's health and lifestyle idea. I think it reflects conversations we already have, and serves a purpose since... we can be a bit dysfunctional at times. I'll wait on what the other mods think since I'm not really active atm, but it has my vote.
