I have nothing against it, I just don't see why how the non-existence of such a subforum prevents anyone from discussing those topics.

I voted Lemon but I'm not sure what that means
Excellent choice, as did I. It's the only sensible thing to vote for.

Anyway, it's a cool idea but I think all the mods and admins will basically say what Lagomorph just said. Sci/Tech is already the appropriate place for bio discussion, health/fitness is a bit more specific but consider the crowd here.. would that forum get enough involvement and traffic on this site to be worth creating? Unless you could get a lifestyles subforum that's a little more focused and specific than something like the Lounge, but no so specific that it caters to one exact category.

Clearly we need a lemon subforum.

A biology subforum sounds pointless to me.

Health and Fitness, or Lifestyles whatever else that includes, sounds better.

A lemon forum would be the perfect place to post photos of my assorted baby trees.

No. Dumb idea. People in general on this forum hate factual stuff.

These topics are all cool and all... but I don't see how making a subforum for them changes anything (with the possible exception of QT's health and fitness idea).

If people start talking a lot about sports or biology, maybe there's an argument for creating a subforum. But there's nothing preventing those conversations from happening - they just don't thus far because of lack of interest or whatever else.

With biology, it already falls underneath the science tag. Psychology and neuro has its own forum because it makes up more threads than the rest of science/technology put together. I can't remember the last conversation about biology that happened here.

With sports, I think it runs counter to the culture we've got here. I could be mistaken, but I think this is legit the first hint of enthusiasm I've heard for sports.... the entire time I've been here.

The way I see it, the structure of the forum should either serve some intended function, or reflect the conversation that already exists here. Making new subforums won't wish these conversations into life.

I do agree with QT's health and lifestyle idea. I think it reflects conversations we already have, and serves a purpose since... we can be a bit dysfunctional at times. I'll wait on what the other mods think since I'm not really active atm, but it has my vote.

But what about the lemons?

People barely ever talk about the lemons, if we don't have a lemon dedicated subforum how will people find the lemon related threads to fulfill their lemony needs?

I don't get it why would biology be a part of physical science? didn't high school make this clear?
regardless, don't be getting upset when I fuck this shit up and give you work to do.

Err... it's not? Both biology and physical science are underneath the umbrella term of science afaik?

strongly disagree, there's too many differences in individual biology to call it an exact science.
but whatever fam, i'm comfortable waiting.

"squishy things" Which could include biology, lemons, animals, and everything about the human body excluding the contents of the head.

I haven't called it a physical science or an exact science. Listen to what I'm saying. I have only called it a science.

It's weird that you expect me to say things you strongly disagree with when we've never interacted.

I suggest no subforums. Just lump it all under "Politics", and everyone will be happy.

i did say I was comfortable waiting didn't I? not like I'm dedicating time to debate a subsection on some nomad forum :tinykitball:
plus I don't give much of a crap if we've interacted or not, seen enough forums to get the mechanics.
this one needs a sports and bio section.
not seeing it yet? no sweat I have yarn and the internet :tinykitball:

viable idea actually, wouldn't mind if it happened, just to experience it.
