Hey! No unnecessary making up sub-genres, we have enough to deal with as it is.Mostly Folktronica or indietronica
Epic Trance, and Progressive Trance!
I like:
Van Buuren,
Van Dyk
Tiesto,
Above & Beyond,
DJ Eco,
BT,
Sasha,
and tons of others.
I like Squarepusher and Four Tet. I feel like there should be a lot of electronica I would enjoy, but whenever I go looking for new electronic music... I just don't like much of it at all. Anything with a four on the floor beat... I just automatically ignore. Anything with a strong dancing influence... just sort of boring.
I'm more into older synth-pop I guess... Kraftwerk and Yellow Magic Orchestra are cool. I like interesting sounds, and strong melody.
I don't know if there's a 'best'.. my girlfriend introduced me to this a couple months ago and I'm continually stunned.
My consistent favorites are edIT and Emancipator.
So glad I'm not the only nerd who's okay with listening to Pandora. Though I haven't listened in a long while because streaming audio was abolished here at my job.I'm pretty sure last time I listened to Fat Jon on Pandora that Four Tet came up.

I was quick to discount it - thinking I was going to start a Bjork station that would eventually be cross-associated so far that I'd end up listening to Mariah Carey - but caved one day because I wanted to listen to a radio and didn't have one.
I've found like 10 bands through Pandora that I love! Shame begone!
Kraftwerk had it going on. Four Tet? Synth? You would like Fat Jon the Ample Soul Physician (I think he changed it to just Fat Jon) and Prefuse 73. I'm pretty sure last time I listened to Fat Jon on Pandora that Four Tet came up.
I don't listen to electronica. You guys should recommend some music to me! Preferably a URL I can click on which involves autoplay, so I don't have to work very hard.
I like jazz, blues, swing, soul, 60s-80s pop, 60s-80s rock, latin, classical, chant. I don't know if that would help maybe. I don't like music that's too freeform (I'm talking extreme, ambient music sort of freeform), I need to perceive order & purpose of some kind.
