I think INTPs are one of the most types who appreciate, enjoy and generate humor, even they can be mistakenly got as too serious ones.
Anyway what's your best comedy, you can include anything films,tv,literature, radio, plays ...you name it..

i'll start...
basically most woody allen films -love&death favorite-...
Flying Circus
Frasier
sometimes Scrubs
i like also observational stand-up comedy, -demitri martin favorite-

anyone else?

I miss Fraser. Kinda funny that it was a off shoot of the series Cheers. I also enjoyed Faulty Towers, Billy Conolley when he stays clean and my favourite a local comedian called David Kau. He makes you laugh at yourself and does it without being lewd.

I just saw Forgetting Sarah Marshall this past weekend and it was hilarious. I recommend it to everyone over the age of 17. (very inappropriate for young kids!!)

i dont have anything that has made me bawl out with laughter recently.

i used to enjoy watching eddie murphy's "coming to america" when i was young. repeatedly.

right now i think a lot of movies are somewhat funny, but not downright hilarious.

there is some good comedy in britain though, try "so graham norton"... he's pretty funny.

anything on mtv... jackass and the lot.... and that annoying ashton kutcher and his punk arse.... i can't stand.

John Olliver's Terrifying Times made me laugh for a long while. And Lewis Black's show is pretty good. Robot Chicken and Aqua Teen Hunger Force are good. but not a whole lot lasts more than a viewing for me

I still don't see what on earth Demi Moore sees in him.

Youth and Fame. I don't exactly remember if shes still considered attractive or famous by the general population

I know, I know!
The life aquatic was HILARIOUS!

Bill murray? Owen Wilson!?
The SAM movie!?!?!?
=Greatness.

It was a bit of dry humor, but I highly enjoyed it.
And the music was awesome!

It was even more funny, though, because I was in the theatre with about 20 other cousins, and most of us were seperated, and one would laugh at a joke, and we all have distinct laughs, so another would laugh at the first laughing, and this all led to outbreaks of laughter for about ten minutes after a joke or funny part in the movie was over.

People were looking at us all like we were insane.

I rather enjoyed the Life Aquatic, though I rarely find anyone else that does. For my favorite comedy, I guess it would have to be a tossup between Monty Python's the Meaning of Life, or their Holy Grail.

I love having fun in ways that make other people think I'm insane. Especially with friends.

I don't, because people actually think I'm insane.

Sometimes it's funny if I'm with my sister or someone.

My sister, a friend and I did what we could at an intersection to see how much we could make people respond to us... We got odd looks =)

What makes me laugh?

OKAY I highly highly recommend 'Outrageous Fortune' the original kiwi version.
Don't even think about glancing at the terrible UK or US versions!!!! It is an absolute classic!
It is about a Crime Family trying to get out of the business.

Otherwise, Delirious - Eddie Murphy
Monty Python
Frasier was brilliant

Really? Everything that comes out of his mouth makes me cringe. It's like the sound styrofoam makes when it is being pulled out of a box. I hate that sound!

I laugh at dry wit and "offensive" jokes. The fact that someone would find a joke offensive just makes it all the funnier.

Arrested Development has had me howling with laughter before. I think the only things that have matched it have been engrish.com and The Most Unwanted Song, which I find hilarious for some reason.

I love Monty Python, Fawlty Towers, Mr Bean, Get Smart, Yes Minister, Black Adder, and Keeping Up Appearances. :D

Also Bill Hicks, Dylan Moran, Igudesman and Joo, and probably a few others that I've forgotten.

Can't think of many comedy-type feature-length films I'd be eager to see again. Mostly I like comedy in small doses.

I just saw Get Smart and I haven't laughed so much in a while.
Books by Terry Pratchett.
I am sure there are oodles of things that I find highly amusing, but that would require me to dredge my memory. If it's not right in front of me, I don't usually think of it.

I really like quite a lot of the ones mentioned: Monty Python, Blackadder, Red Dwarf, Frasier, Scrubs, Fawlty Towers. But I love A Bit Of Fry And Laurie, which hasn't been mentioned yet so I felt I may as well add it.

yes! most intps would love the intricate wordplay and sheer absurdity of fry & laurie, it's very pythonesque.

someone also mentioned the office.. i'd recommend anything with ricky gervais' grinning mug, eg. extras, animals, politics and fame..

i also like the young ones, bottom, filthy rich and catflap, not the nine o'clock news, black adder, comic strip, ripping yarns, peep show, big train, nighty night, human remains, league of gentlemen, brass eye...
erm, and american humour like ren & stimpy, family guy.. and their baffling inability to distinguish between the words "sarcasm" and "irony."

ONLY FOOLS AND HORSES- the best tv show humor ever.

Also: Black Adder and Little Britain.

I just love the british sense humor. Pure sarcasm.

I don't believe George Carlin has been mentioned yet. Jammin' in New York is bound to make you guys laugh... so, if you have some spare hours today, youtube it.

As far as television is concerned, nothing has topped Arrested Development for me. I am absolutely amazed by how hard and how often I have laughed at that show, no matter how many times I watch it. Otherwise, there is a special place in my heart for Seinfeld.

When it comes to movies, there are just too many for me to really come up with a satisfying list, but I will say that I'm a bit biased towards Caddyshack and Young Frankenstein. I had been raised on those movies as a kid and being able to pass Caddyshack quotes back and forth has always been a part of my family. Otherwise, the Big Lebowski is pretty high up on my list.

British humor is the best.

Right, let's dress our cast up as women! It'll be hilarious!

Ricky Gervais' form of British comedy is absolutely outstanding. And to repeat what others have said, Arrested Development was a masterpiece.

Chappelle's Show and Venture Bros. are two other great comedies, in my opinion.

Agreed.

Recently saw Inglorious Bastards had Brad Pitt and Mike Myers in it, I cringed at the combo but they meshed the american and british humour really well. :D

Comedy:

-Louis CK
-Doug Stanhope (If you are not offended by dark/crude humor, some of his rants are pretty entertaining and often brilliant. Some people compare him to Bill Hicks, but I don't completely agree. If you can get past the vugarity, I think alot of INTPs could relate to his act quite a bit. No bullshit comedy.)

-Bill Burr

I can't stand most mainstream comics like Dane Cook, Jeff Dunham, Daniel Tosh...I have had friends that have tried to turn me on to them and I didn't laugh even once.

Tv Shows:
-House
-Curb Your Enthusiasm
-Seinfeld
I was going to type more, but I got distracted.
