In regards to other INTP's since most of us here are, do you ever feel like its too much? That ultimately it becomes redundant to a degree where you have reached a point of so much agreement that you seek comfort in being around something different, something new to analyze?

That's not to suggest that everyone here is alike or that we all know what we're going to think, say and do. Certainly we are all different in our own right but outside of this online community do you seek that which is the same or that which is different?

I like reading things on here, it proves that there are many others capable of thinking straight. If there are 3 replies to a post I likely have nothing to add, so I get to be my normal quiet self which is great :)

Looking at those I spend any time with in real life they are all very different from me. I'd suggest that 90% of the them are extroverts for a start, and most of them "waste" much of their time watching something on TV whether that be soaps, sport or talent contests. Not sure any of them (bar one) have touched a non-fiction book since leaving school either

I wouldn't go so far as to say I seek different, but in truth where are the other people like us? They are mostly hidden in their rooms thinking about/researching stuff, not out socialising to be met. The one who reads is a self-tested INFP, and the only person I'd really get upset about not seeing again, analysing her is like teaching yourself quantum physics - I like a challenge, but it's not going to work!

Yes, I believe this is why I am presently finding it so very difficult to want to post anything(not that I ever posted very much in the first place). As with Asmit, I often feel that there is very little left to say, once I get around to reading a thread. Even this topic has already been talked about. I can't remember the name of the thread, but I'm certain it has been discussed previously. While there are plenty of benefits to knowing that there is a community of like-minded people in which to retreat, it does become difficult to feel as if you have nothing unique to say.

I'm always looking for something new to interest me and I wish I didn't, at least not with some things. All my life I've only ever really dedicated myself to something for as long as it interested me, which has never been very long, and as a result I can't say that I'm particularly proficient at anything.

I like all the ideas that flow around here. The similarities between my thoughts and those of other INTPs here gives me both a sense of belonging and uniqueness and also helps me feel better about my social awkwardness among others. The redundancy doesn't bother me; rather, it intrigues me as to how alike we are even though we all come from different backgrounds. Although it is somewhat annoying to find that some things that I want top say have already been said, it comforts me in a way to know that I am not weird for coming up with strange yet logical theories and seeing that many of my musings are already on these boards merely amuses me.

I find enough dissimilarities here so that it's not boring.

I also spend most of my time in the Human Relationships section, but the drama there gets to be a little much sometimes.
