Thank you Puffy. I wasn't too hot on making the poll. Thought it could tell me something I might be missing just in case. I will be committing myself to my favorite psychiatric ward. The chief psychiatrist already has the sign, "special paranoia hands off" made up to hang around the back of my neck. Turn it over and it says, "kick me."

Less than for s professors, because they would have to go through everything in detail whereas n professors would quickly begin to communicate and trade information in the most efficient pattern, and they would learn new things while doing it so that some pieces of information would appear to them without the need for a call.

If the purpose of this poll is to boost your ego and security then there is a chance that you might give up on dividing on categories and obsessing about approval. I welcome you as most if not any potential contributors.

I've been posting like a chipmunk on crack for what, 2 months now? My average posts per day since joining have gone from 3.23 to currently 5.13.

Incorrect BAP. Think about why it's at most 2n-2 (there is a better bound): Professor A calls all the others (n-1 calls) learning everything, and then does so again (another n-1 calls) telling everyone else everything.

I think you just confused the wording.

For the Orgy question, a crude (but I think acheivable) best possible lower bound is x(x-1)/6

No, that's what I was explaining. If B learns C's information by calling him, and A then calls B, A learns everything B knows which is B and C so A now knows A,B,C and B also knows A,B,C while C knows B,C (assuming no prior calls were made). That's why the algorithm I posted works.

It can be done. Edit your RAM to display your post count as lower or higher, after you jump over it can go back. Or you want to change the counter on the server? That is more complicated, could be done.
