I pretty much hate intros, because the best way to see what I'm like is to observe me in action, preferably interact with me too, not listen to some silly bio of my history and preferences and whatever else (which incidentally explains my disdain for job interviews and resumes). I generally dislike being asked "how are you?" or conversing with a person recently met and having to talk about things like what I do for a living, where I live, what colour my dog is etc. I'll tell a bit though just because there's nothing much better to do at the moment:

I had a bit of an epiphany when I read a profile for an INTP. It was me to a tee. I don't know how I found the INTP forum but I did, probably in my eagerness to read as much about INTP as I could find on the internet, and it's really cool. A lot of like-minded souls.

I've got a bachelor degree in Arts (Philosophy/English), that's pretty noteworthy I guess. I've had several jobs in retail. I'm 25. My favourite Ninja Turtle is... ok you know what, this isnt working, I'll stop there.

NB: I do like the attention you get from intros though, so it's a love-hate thing.

I didn't do an Intro either. I'm also 25. I did a degree in English lit/linguistics and now am doing one in philosophy, so we have that in common :)
I totally know how you feel about when you read the INTP profile. I read it to my mom and she was just cracking up, laughing at how accurate it was. It also made me realize that people are not as unique as I thought they were, and that social determinism was even stronger than I realized.

Hi Banana Mango,

I felt like I finally found my way home when I got here. Don't you hate parties when you have to talk to more than one person and you end up having to tell people the same information over and over. At least I have a distant memory of that happening ....

Welcome BM, I've also got a BA in philosophy and English.

Oh my God, we've got similar interests, we should be friends. I hate it when people say that.

Anyway, enjoy the forum, but please take off your shoes, you're tracking mud all over the floor.

Tbh I say that to chicks. But in all seriousness, what did you do for a job after your degree? I'm doing this teaching thing and it sucks ass.

I like parties where I can act like a goof (serious parties are good because you can take the piss out of everyone). Been a while since I've done that though.
