Here, I'll help...
DON'T LOOK!
My avatar starting next month.
Alright, I'm going to point out a few very simple things to you Razare.
Something like you have in the spoiler actually doesn't bother me, I wouldn't delete or moderate that myself as it's simply another reality to me, but would certainly understand if it were switched out or deleted by one of the other Admins.
However, if you're going to post a picture such as that you're going to be required to put a satisfactory warning for those at work or in other places (such as "NSFW") where they may not be able to have such pictures visible.
Of course, I will put this warning into your post myself this time.
If you're offended by somebody having an overweight avatar that's showing a little skin you can get Adblock and have control over blocking avatars at your own discretion, as well you can shut off avatars by going to UserCP>Edit Options>and press the 'Show Avatars' button to the unmarked setting.
I would recommend this for work situations if you're worried about the quality of other's avatars.
Most importantly, exaggerating the problem or comparing something like a picture such as a ballerina/sumo or a poor drawing of a fat man as nearly equivalent to a gory picture of somebody's head torn, opened up and showing brain maggots is
not the way to make a logical argument or to acquire respect from anybody.
Placing an abrasive pic as your avatar for the sake of attempting to disgust people in an act of disrespect is different than having a picture that certain over-sensitive individuals decide they dislike. I would consider you choosing an avatar like that trolling and would have no trouble with punishing such an act without mercy.
Please remember that you're one opinion amongst many on a forum that you have
no right to.
The Administration will remove anything that we believe is disrupting the forum and will react according to what we believe is best
for the forum.
I assume the administration here is a lot more loose then the admin team I work with, so I'll likely be seen as too strict. I am simply bothered by the fact that the avatar pictures can be so damn big. I think they should be regulated to be a certain size. Either way, I think you should censor overtly offensive avatars. However, I have not seen any of that nature on here as of yet.
Actually no, you don't seem strict exactly.
I've observed how moderation is performed on the INFJ forum and seen bickering between Moderators within the public section of the forum with users joining in and little getting resolved, closing of entire threads because a couple of people are doing something undesirable within it, users kicked out of threads permanently for jokes that mildly offend the thread starter, Moderators being baited by trolls instead of taking action, and lack of strict/effective enforcement (such as permanent bans) that leads to people coming back multiple times to do the same things over and over again.
Now it's your opinion, and you being an Administrator on there, it's also your prerogative, but I can say that I wouldn't post on that forum for the very reason that I don't trust the moderation is impartial or effective and certainly have no desire to emulate such a thing.
Not that I mean any offense, I'm sure there are many that would prefer your moderation style after all.
