My initial remarks contained serious critique of this notion. The true content is simply behind a facade of humour.

Hilarious!
Lemme help get the thread back on track:
Thanks!
Here's parts from
this load that applied to me (and a pretty broad spectrum of INTPs, too, interestingly enough):
"Symbols for Scorpio are...and the eagle, a far-seeing predator soaring above petty problems into the spiritual sky...seem to be filled with inherent contradiction...sway their audiences as they choose...the searchers...have an insatiable desire for knowledge on every level...dangerous situations and in sudden crises...remain cool...determined...drive themselves hard...drive others unmercifully...despise weakness in themselves or...others...worst fault is...too adaptable to...people...lead double lives one for the eyes of the world and another for themselves...In business...politics...have clever ideas...best as advisers...habit to 'put off things until tomorrow'...excel in settling other people's quarrels...personal magnetism...no other class of people makes more friends or...enemies...sex quality plays a vital part...interested in marriage and...commitment...love is an intensely passionate and enduring emotion that may be directed at one person only...rarely display their true feelings even at the most open and communicative moments...may not intentionally set out to be mysterious...manage to appear enigmatic anyway...hate being crossed or manipulated...can react...with sarcasm and vengefulness...writers, painters or poets...natural philosophers, deep students of Nature, and observe and analyze other persons' characters better than any other class..."
I identify with the lesser of the cool symbols better. The eagle's kind of got it figured out by their description, though I doubt having been endangered (bald eagle) was as carefree an adventure as flying high in the sky is made out to sound. I do seek truth in selective battles. I have a general distaste for weaknesses. I tend not to exploit them to level the battlefield. I lead many lives none too extreme, but as a chameleon-like INTP, I tend to have different masks for different people. Not to be a jerk or hide something. Just to have fun, get to know others, and get along. I'm a procrastinator, and sex is very important to me. Maybe I'll get laid tomorrow. Love happens with one person. I do not intend to be mysterious, but my wife thinks that I am. I do not like being unnecessarily toyed with when I'm being serious or inquisitive, and can lash out when that happens. I tend to dislike humor at my expense, but sometimes do it to others myself. I love nature and philosophy, and I love to write and sketch. I consider myself to be a good judge of character (this causes me to be presumptuous and sometimes judgmental, but internally... I might even defend someone who I personally don't like, if they are being attacked for the wrong reasons or by someone whose defenses should not [imo] warrant their opinions as stated... I hold my opinions about someone until
I am directly affected by the situation... although, as somewhat of a nihilist, I can change my mind about someone based off of candid observation rather easily... I am not afraid to prove my
self incorrect...)
But there was a large bit of this in between those elipses that
didn't apply to me personally as an INTP. I'm aware that these traits might apply to some INTPs (or some might even apply to the majority of them):
"...come into its full power...October 28th...this date onwards it is in full strength until November '20th and...for seven days gradually losing its strength on account of becoming overlapped by the "cusp" of the incoming sign - Sagittarius...Symbols for Scorpio are the scorpion, a ground-dwelling killer with a poisonous sting in its tail...inherent contradiction...seem to make this period their chosen battlefield...Up to nearly twenty years of age...usually extremely pore-minded, virtuous, and religious, but once their nature is roused they are often found to swing in the opposite direction...have great magnetic power...appeal to the emotions and sentiments of their public more than to logic...these people want the edge on everybody else...Relationships are a kind of mystery for them...should, above all, be encouraged to have ambition, for it is the one thing that will save them; for it they [will] make any sacrifice or deny themselves any pleasure, and so accomplish more work than any other class...they need to dominate relationships...the men are inclined to be dogmatic...expect to rule...influence over women is so great that they are almost always forgiven...Sooner or later, they generally become interested in occult matters, they readily develop unusual clairvoyant powers, and quite often gain fame and distinction...have, or make, two sources of income...sooner or later success and fame nearly always find them..."
So other people's upcoming birthdays make me lose strength? Nuh-uh. I'm generally lethargic around my birthday anyway because most people forget it, including my brothers and my father. Lovin' it. Although I'd love to (proof of that, perhaps, lies in my handle), I am not representative of a
"ground-dwelling killer with a poisonous sting in its tail." Never been religious, I've never wanted
"the edge on everybody else," relationships are not mysteries to me, I do not expect to rule (nor am I always forgiven, hah), and, although occult does fascinate me from time to time, I wouldn't say it "matters." It's fantasy, really, but clairvoyance has never been a part of that fantasy. That actually intensely aggravates me. I hate the concept of clairvoyance. I'm not famous (wonder why), nor do I have more than one source of income (I wish).
