Emergence. Collectives or sets of things gain a property that's nonexistent with independent objects. This applies to humans as well. On an individual level, there shouldn't be that much difference but collective-wise, statistics and generalities are required for description. I hear there is a higher percentage of F in the female collective. I don't think that's necessarily a cultural thing...

No, I certainly did mean "proportion". I think it's more accurate than the other way of saying it (everyone has a perception, so it doesn't really make sense that way). Proportion, on the other hand, makes more sense, there. When a woman reacts to something, it's out of proportion to the offending whatever-it-be. When I get ranch on my food and I asked for there not to be, dang. I'll east it anyhow, and I'll enjoy it. It's simply not that big an offense in the greater scheme of things. I mean, I've had cars break down beyond operation, I've lived in squalor, I've broken a toe, I've had hair ripped off and nails ripped out, I've stepped on nails, I've had a room-mate get kicked out of my place, forcing me to pay twice the rent, I've been divorced... ranch on my taco simply isn't that big a deal. I have bigger fish to fry.

And, yes, women are weaker, in general. I'd never deny that. However, hurting someone outside of proportion to their injury unto you is still exactly that. One slap =/= permanent bodily harm.

When physical punishment is meted out arbitrarily a woman has a number of choices. She can walk away, suck it up (humbled in your words) or retaliate. I would unequivocally walk away. Many women make the mistake of popping out four kids before they realize that the guy she married is an a-hole. These are the ones with the remaining two choices. They seem to react in the extreme if they can't be broken. Why? The physical strength thing. If the guy survives he will likely serve up a punishment that =/= a bitch slap.

I walked away from an a-hole that I lived with in my early 20's. He never hit me because I left before it escalated to that level. He threatened to kill the next guy I dated and stole my vehicle. The fear was a bit much to handle even for an ice princess such as myself. I totally see why women overdo it on the violence.

Ranch dressing? LOL. I would kindly ask for a non-ranch dressing soaked taco and spend the rest of the meal obsessing over who the fuck would puts ranch on a taco. In the majority of cultures, yes, gender roles put females in the position of nurturing their Fe/Fi in order to best complete the tasks that society has deemed appropriate for them, but in cultures in which there is a reversal of roles, in which the male is nurturing and the female assumes roles that are traditionally male-dominated, this isn't the case. For example, from Mead's work Sex and Temperament in Three Primitive Societies:

"Among the Arapesh, both men and women were peaceful in temperament and neither men nor women made war... among the Mundugumor, the opposite was true: both men and women were warlike in temperament... and the Tchambuli were different from both. Indeed, there are inherent predispositions to behave one way, or to rely on one cognitive function more on the other; however, temperament isn't static and one's environment and culture certainly play a role as well.

A few months ago there was actually an abortive thread on black guys; however, I remain too lazy to try to exhume said thread. Also, there are definitely differences, on the whole, between female brains and male brains which are fleshed out in numerous intelligence tests - e.g., Alan Kaufman's statistical research in the KTEA-II manual. These differences are trivial though - like women being more advanced on long term storage and retrieval tasks and worse than their male counterparts on others - and tend to balance out in terms of global intelligence. The same, unfortunately, cannot be said about races though, where we see huge and consistent disparities between, for instance, black folks and white folks or asians and native americans; and, no, I will not posit an explanation for the why.
