Allowing .GIFs as avatars again?

I recently noticed that some of the older members have animated .gif images as their avatar photo-things.

Is there any chance of bringing back this feature, or is there some sort of negative aspect of it that escapes me?

This is not disabled; you should be able to use it.

If it didn't work the first time, try again, it's how I got an animated gif to show up as my profile picture.

Last time I tried, I got some sort of error thing that said that only PNG images were uploadable or something like that.

@Fukyo goddamn that avatar is annoying.

If this gets me banned it's well worth it, someone had to point it out.

(It's not even just the duckface going-out girl posing and doing all the things we dislike, it's actually the moving gif drawing my attention towards it aswell. )

Edit : I so couldn't keep my eyes off the moving shizzle, that i didn't notice @Auburn already found a fix. No more avatars for fukyo...

(Does intp use ads to pay it's bills? I'd gladly not use adblock to keep this running, as long as we find a way to kill le duckface.)
