I challenge anyone to beat my heli attack 2 score

Its a really fun game. much better then a lot of the games in the arcade.

The current high score is from my first attempt. and I forgot how to change weapons (default is end, but the controls are totally customizable) so its just with me using the default weapon. so the score is definitely beatable.

Score is just over 85 heli kills

26 using a touch-pad. You should try the non-basic weapons as they are quite fun.

yea, grappling hook is my favorite. Ill go and use weapons next time. but I can wait til someone at least comes close to my score. in the mean time im going to go try to top the arcade boards.

O and btw my sophmore year of high school I had a computer class, but we spent almost all the class just playing games. this was one of the main games we played. me and 3 or 4 other people would compete for high scores on this game. most of the time we were pretty close constantly 1 upping each other, then this 1 kid got a pretty awesome score and we could never beat it. so when I was at home I played the game and practiced it a lot til I was able to beat it. and I destroyed his score. sadly after I set that score no one really tried to beat it.

so I've got lots of practice with this game. and feel quite confident that i'd come out on top. Though I am still expecting people to beat the current score I set

some tips.

I highly recomend changing the controls go to controls and you can change it to what ever you want. I prefer wasd controls with q or e being change weapon and using shift and space for hyper jump and time distort.

time distort is really great for squeezing between bullets and it refills after ever heli.

hyper jump is great for if your pinned in a corner and going to get shot to jump up and over the heli. and out of the path of the bullets

for areas I prefer going off on the far right. there is a spot with a slight overhang which you can use for cover, though I dont recomend using it for cover unless you really need it. the more you are to the right as you run into it the more likely you are to get shot in their without any way to avoid damage. I mostly just strafe back and forth along the flat path.

random weapon drops every 3 helis and health every 15. each time health drops it gives you less and less though.

you guys were starting to get competent scores so I played again, this time with weapons and such, doubled my previous score. got 168 helis this time.

edit: got 106 but apparently it "wasn't submitted from the game" so wasn't saved.

I played a little with a mouse but lacked the attention span to get a good score. Once you reduce it to the most fundamental elements you end up sitting in open space keeping your horizontal axis free (the one over which you have the most control).

You don't really need to use the extra weapons as they require more attentional resources aiming and thus despite being more powerful, are more likely to get you hit.
