As of late, my threads have led to subjective answers or no anwers at all.

Is this a bother or is it welcome here?

My main motive for posting them is not so much for debatable purposes, as much as the want for different perspectives of a topic.

Philosophy questions typically have no objective conclusions - only those which individuals agree to or express. Philosophy is a field which is open to interpretation. There are no solid answer or concrete explanations that are acceptable as truth. Opinions are the priority and each perspective is to be analyzed, but none are accepted as correct- only as a possibilities. For example, who posts a religious thread with the expectation to receive a 'correct' answer from everyone. The only answers will be those that you define as answers, essentially.

This is exactly what I do.

Thank you for your post.

I don't consider your posts a "bother", I welcome the opinions and ideas of others, and am thankful you take the time to share them. I apologize for not responding to any of them, but as of late, I have not had time for any in depth philosophical discussions. When I do have time, I am so stressed out by life that I only want to post in the bullshit threads. It's my way to relieve stress....I don't want to philosophize, I just want to laugh and/or go off on some sort of rant.

There is no need to apologize or to feel obligated to post a reply- that is unnecessary.

This thread was started simply because I thought that I detected some exasperation in the posts in response to my thread starts. This could be an incorrect perception, needless to say.

I am simply curious as to whether I should think my ideas through more carefully before I post them.

Thank you for your post.

I think this thread is a great example of INTP behavior. Likely you are already censoring your thoughts too much as it is.

I've skimmed through some of your posts, and they seem more than sound. Keep in mind that language, like philosophy, is a question of subjective interpretation. You seem to choose the interpretations that appeal the least to you.

Hm.... This thread may simply be the product of a rather morbid/indifferent mood. I seem to be slightly negative today, perhaps with a touch of bitterness.... maybe....
Either way, this thread is giving me too much attention and I am regretting posting it.
Please ignore it, if you don't mind.
Thank you to those that did post on it- it is not unappreciated.

Too much attention...?
It is your ideas that are receiving most of the attention,
perhaps that is as it should be.
If you get a response it means that you were able to offer
stimulation. This is not a bad thing...

EDIT: MY BAD< BY POSTING I SEEMINGLY DELIBERATELY IGNOED YOUR REQUEST -SORRY!

Well, the reason why many of us like philosophical questions is that there aren't answers, and we are free to guess around and submit subjective answers.

The point of philosophy is not about some ultimate truth. It is a process of taking ideas, expressing them, and rejecting/polishing them. I would have thought those are the kinds of things you are looking for weliddryn.

People are just too aggressive and want to be right all the time. I don't think that's what philosophers wanted or Aristotle would have done things differently.
