2 Issues

I've noticed two problems. The first is that I'm trying to refer someone as a member, but they can't register because the registration image (CAPTCHA?) does not appear. This is happening on my browser as well if I try to register, so I don't think it's an isolated issue.

The second may be restricted to myself, but I can't log out on IE. I click "Log Out", it says all cookies have been cleared, but when I type in a generic intpforum.com into the address bar, I'm already logged in. Same happens if I click log out and then click "Home". Clearing my cookies/temp files/browser history etc. (ATF Cleaner ftw!) doesn't fix this.

Should have included this in the OP, but it may be noteworthy that the image isn't showing up in multiple browsers (IE, Chrome, Firefox).

Well, this may be my fault. A few weeks ago we were having a wave of spammers so I enabled captcha as an additional anti spam measure. It may have been turned off for a reason. I'll look into it a bit later.

Thanks Fukyo. I noticed the spam wave. (Might the captcha be why no noobs have showed up in a while? :slashnew:)

You should check if your friend can register now. And yes....that may be the reason for the absence of newbs. :phear:

As for the log out problem, did you clear cookies and cache in your browser?

It was definitely the reason for lack of new people... I tried to contact an admin to make them aware of the problem but that too required a CAPTCHA. Ironic.
Regardless, the problem is fixed now :p

Cookies and cache had been cleared like 12x to no avail, but I could log out using a different connection and the original worked again. Werd. :D

Oh the irony of a spambot on this thread. :D Although the irony of it posting a link to Valentine gifts in the "cheating on your gf" thread is greater.
