Yep, you're an INTP alright. It looks like most INTP's are very weak on the P/R category, and you can only distinguish between the INTP and the INTJ by their whole personality. I personally suck at history because the names/dates/places are impossible to remember. The hermit part is normal too...
It's all about the intent of the word. I could easily call an apathetic person "A harbinger of euphoria", and if I say it in a derogatory tone they would interpret it as an insult. The word 'retard' is only offensive if the speakers wants it to be.
Dapper Dan, in a room of 100 people, if 50 of them are introverts, you'd never know it. Many introverts are more moderate, and can be drawn into conversation without loosing too much energy, and people notice extroverts much more than introverts. Also, I remember reading there are 3 extroverts...
Moseley In my experience, most introverts understand. We understand that they enjoy being around people and they gain energy from it, and that is completely normal for them. @pjoa01, I could probably last 5 years haha.
I agree. What I did was read the detailed description of all 16 types, and picked the one that correlated with my personality the most, which was INTP at about 90%.
I'll use 99% then. Well, it's usually not a noteworthy thing, but when somebody says the premise of loosing energy around a large amount of people as opposed to gaining it is impossible and should be treated as a medical condition, I take offence. She is a product of the Promethean project. She...
My creative outlit is programming. People say programming is not an art because of its structure, but I say its structure is the art. Take something that you like to do, and do it with passion. That is the very definition of art, an act done with passion. This is why a guy who plays D&D calls it...
Hi, I'm a musician too. I've been playing piano for almost a decade (I'm 15). It doesn't seem strange at all for INTP's to play instruments, as it provides an excellent solitary activity for reflection. I can improvise on the same theme for hours and not get bored, because my mind is in a...
I agree. I'm very split on the J and P, because I like knowing what's going to happen next (J) but at the same time I'm a procrastinator, I'm late to appointments, etc (P).
So this year I had this "friend" who was as extreme of an extrovert as I am an introvert (100%). One day I decided to tell her about the MBTI. Now, she never understood why I would not enjoy being around people in general, so I should have expected this: She decided that the state of being an...
Agreed. But the fact that I have about 75% of open wall in my room covered in adhesive whiteboard which in turn is covered in programming plans and flowcharts, I'd say I'm INTP :p.
See, I just took one test that put me 5% more judging than perceiving, which actually gave me a panic attack. Then I re-read the definition of each and I solidified my state of being perceiving, because I hate it when I'm given a timetable or schedule.
Hi there! I'm 15, and a year ago my grandfather introduced me to the personality type spectrum with the book "Please understand me". Ever since I have been obsessed with classifying myself and others into its 16 broad categories.
I feel much more secure now because I know when I go to my...
