Integrity
1: firm adherence to a code of especially moral or artistic values : incorruptibility
2: an unimpaired condition : soundness
3: the quality or state of being complete or undivided : completeness
Please prove this wrong, I'd like to hear it. How do you lose your integrity exactly?
I'm not sure if it was clear that those were not my words. I should have quoted the entire thing.
Anyways I think the point of Pascals Gambit is that it is worth it to fully believe in God because believing has "infinitely" more reward than not believing. I don't think he is suggesting that...
For me I know I have very real emotions, but I very rarely understand them, recognize them, or express them. Most of the time I just block out my emotions. :borg0:
Think about it in terms of Pascals Gambit:
"God is, or He is not"
A game is being played... where heads or tails will turn up.
According to reason, you can defend neither of the propositions.
You must wager. It is not optional.
Let us weigh the gain and the loss in wagering that god is...
I'm frustrated that everyone(generalization) in my life doesn't seem to think about anything except the mundane. They don't care about learning or looking at life with a new perspective. Everyone(generalization) is happy to live safely in their day to day lives and not worry about what they...
I wonder if your parents types somehow make your type. For example my mom is INFP and my dad is INTJ and I am an INTP. I am guessing that I "got" my I and N from both parents, my T from my dad, and my P from my mom. However my sister is ENFP, so maybe parts of your personality type can be given...
(I am posing without reading other posts for accuracy.)
When I get obsessed with something all of my mind is focused on that one thing. Usually an idea, problem, or puzzle. I don't even realize it's happening until afterwards. I completely lose track of things like time, responsibilities...
It was interesting to see what looked like desperation and sadness for another animal from an animal. That is definitely very rare. It was also odd that the cat was pressing on the other like one would for CPR. This seems to be more coincidence than an uncanny ability to know how to resuscitate...
No problem, it's so amazing.
"Kids, if you want to piss off your parents, show interests in the arts... Kids, if you really want to piss off your parents, buy real estate in an imaginary place, oh yes."
I have noticed that there are a lot of other MBTI types on this forum, which is awesome don't get me wrong. However since I have no inclination to go join forums centered around other types, I was wondering what the original motives were of the other types for coming to this forum, and what made...
It sounds like the general consensus is that "genius" is a relative term usually compared to all of humanity. So if you have an insight into something and no one else can see it, that makes you a genius?
You can have 10 points for that. :p I think you are correct.
I didn't know they existed, but I will definitely have to see them now!
Haha I like the Death Note reference.
I don't think INTP's are insane, they certainly can seem that way. I have noticed that we tend to go off on tangents and think up complex ideas usually only slightly related to the current subject. They make perfect sense in our minds, but when we try to explain them it doesn't come across very...
I definitely relate to this. Especially if I'm asked to tell something about my self. Maybe the reason for this is because its so hard to decide what small pieces of information to tell about yourself and you start thinking about all the things that you could say and it doesn't come out right.
I have noticed over the years that a large majority of my attempts to explain new ideas related to a topic in discussion result in others not understanding what I'm trying to say. And instead of trying to figure out what I'm saying, they immediately think that I don't understand the topic in...
