Who here plays chess? And if so what is your rating?

I used to play, but never very well. Your rating is astronomically high, how often do you play, and how long have you been playing for?

Quite frankly, I don't expect you to find much competition outside of dedicated chess sites, not even here (though there might be one or two).

I have been playing competitively for about 8 years now. I used to study real hard but not play in many tournaments. Recently (past 2 years) it's been just the opposite though.

BTW Thanks for that link to the other thread, but I am not interested in a long-winded Correspondence Match. I just wanted to see if there was a strong chess community here, and I guess the answer is no.

Then I'll be wrong. Usually that would make me want to do something that changes such an outcome, but when it comes to chess it's worth being wrong to win.
