I can't be reasonably expected to argue, for instance, that banning 420Munkey while keeping Sinny91 is blatantly inconsistent, hypervigilant moderation. I just won't bother arguing such an observation, like i won't bother arguing the validity of my perception when there is a red ball over there or when someone's been stabbed in the eye with a fork. If you can't see a red ball, no argument will solve the problem.

It doesn't follow that you'd ban him and not Sinny (and a host of others), I'd agree there.

It's because the mod team has too many rampant super-egos per normal person. These are just too fond of their duties and the sense of importance brought by carefully considered decision-making. And power, of course. Ridiculous as that sounds, don't shoot the messenger.

Yeah that's true. But incidents like the 420M one happen all the time with lots of users. Maybe they mods have just recently decided to be more active or something as of the last 12 hours

One of the things that always irritated me as a moderator was when people automatically attributed malicious intent to perceived mistakes. It's obnoxious, and really counterproductive if your goal is actually to right a perceived wrong, rather than to just whine for its own sake.

No no, not malicious intent; rampant super-egos. I'm not even sure how malicious intent would apply here. It's a very unlikely explanation.

What i'm complaining about is not a mistake but a systematic error with clear and persistent determinants.
