This was fun little test i'v seen before, but again found it by accident.
It was clockwise for me initially and then i found out that by looking at the side(right and up worked for me) and picturing it turning opposite direction it will eventually :)

I wonder if this could be used as kind of cognitive training by trying to make it easier to chance direction.

Edit:
Got it to the point where i can chance direction at will.
From clockwise to anti-clockwise it just kinda snaps and from other way it's more gradual having moment of back and forth.
Wonder what it means? :)

i have looked at this often. is it months or years old?
initially, it's always clockwise for me.
and it's close to impossible to turn it around, without some trick, like this:

i can turn it around by moving from the black-foot to the shadow-foot (which i can easily see in such a way, that it turns counter clockwise) then moving back to the black-figure.

but upon blinking once, it's back to moving clockwise.

apparently i can think about all sorts of rational topics, even mental arithmetics, while i am opening the site, and it will still be clockwise, initially.

Same for me, but when i think about something trivial like random details on the site it starts to snap other direction and may even get bit stuck. Very weird :)

Oh and it seems to be posted October 09, 2007, could be much older than that.
