Seems like a description of what I would consider doing with unfamiliar people.

I would have little or no problem with leaning against the wall with folded arms and looking bored and disdainfully at others, depending on my irritation level.

Reminds me of some evenings spent out in dive bars watching local bands and drinking stale beer in a crowded room full of counter culture ... the only plain face staring blankly back at the band in the whole room, half glazed over, apparently 'spaced' but in all likelihood probably more attentive to everything than anybody.

This is me at every concert. Just drink until I end up on stage I suppose
