I have a speech due tomorrow, I have to memorize it. I don't even have a topic yet, and I can't afford to sleep 2 hours again. Someone gimme a persuasive speech topic that isnt as hard as transhumanism, I don't have the time to write such a complex speech. Dammit. HEEEEEEEELP

What are the criteria?
What's the aim of this speech?
How long does it need to be?

The only speech I ever wrote was on why I should be Vice President of the student council, though it probably won't be very useful to you, and I lost anyways.

Righty then,
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Portal:Transhumanism

Intro
-What is Transhumanism?
Transhumanism is an international intellectual and cultural movement supporting the use of science and technology to improve human mental and physical characteristics and capacities. The movement regards aspects of the human condition, such as disability, suffering, disease, aging, and involuntary death as unnecessary and undesirable. Transhumanists look to biotechnologies and other emerging technologies for these purposes. Dangers, as well as benefits, are also of concern to the transhumanist movement.
-How does it similar to Humanism?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Humanism
-Why do you consider yourself a Transhumanist?
(take the moral high ground: Because you want to improve the human condition)

Body
-What does it mean to be / what is the definition of, a Transhumanist.
(basically anyone who furthers scientific advancement and/or values the application of technology as means to helping people, in fact you could say technology is nothing but a means to an end and the assistance of one’s fellow man is one of the few clearly moral applications of it)
-Notable Transhumanists and their contributions to the cause.

-Recent technologies and their implications in relation to Transhumanism.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prosthesis
-Expectations of the future, i.e. what is the relevance of all this to your audience?
(Give a basic futurist’s spiel and if you’ve got the time bring up the Technological Singularity and explain it, preferably with a dead serious this-will-happen attitude)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Technological_singularity

Summary
-What's the philosophical basis of Transhumanism.
(Improving the human condition by exceeding limitation, etc)
-Why would you encourage other's to be Transhumanists?
(Basically scare the crap out of them with talk of augmented intelligences “Artilects”, and a world changing too fast for base humans to keep up with, it’s called being persuasive :D)

See? Not hard at all.

Just do a little research and pad it out a bit.
Actually I've probably done all the necessary research for you, the padding should be emotive arguments and other crap, after all this isn't a test of your expertise, it's a test of your ability to sell your perspective.

Speech? peh! Simply understand the general idea.. and express them in different ways. You'll eventually gain new ideas as you talk. Also, ask questions to those listening to you. Lighten it, and secure the goal of them understanding what your trying to say. The real problem is the initiation of talking. the solution...onwards!
