Well, if it was just living, no need for car transport to work etc... I could probably live on 15000 (300 or so a week) or less a year. I could live on less if I didn't have a home. (note this is coming from a guy that doesn't understand maths in the slightest and is purely guesstimating) (this is assuming renting with a few people)

However what would the stipend be for? I don't thing purely being an amazingly awesomeness person a multi-billionare is going to pay the whole forum a stipend.

$1328 would be perfect. I did the math. It goes like so.. How much do I want? About $1300. Nice. Now to make it look like I have done legitimate math to cover bills and living costs.. Aha add $28 dollars. Genius.

In all honesty I could comfortably live off of $500. That would cover rent, power, food and phone/internet.

Well, I earn my money for my wife, plus two children, so I would need enough to pay for a place to live and utilities (~500/week), plus feed and clothe everybody, plus pay for our cars and their maintenance. I'm guessing about $2,500 - $3,000 per month, or roughly $700 - $800 per week.

In Aoteroa. And that is sharing the cost between three. But rent is every two weeks which is $300 and the bills are every month which generally come to $250. Divided between three that is easy living. And then there is food costs which isn't much.
