It might be amusing in a very very dry way for about five seconds but quickly seems banal and even a bit obsessively repulsive.

EDIT: Also reminded me far too much of this other post that occurred around the same time.

I did mot play that game, but even then, I doubt I would find a video of driving an inside joke/reference into the ground for over 9 minutes amusing. Or maybe I jyst don't get it.

Why would typical memetic internet humor be something that particularly attracts INTPs when its already known that it doesnt because all sorts of types are into typical memetic internet humor? Threads like this baffle me to no end by their mere existance.

Do you think you are the only one or do all INTPs are baffled by threads like this? I would suppose it would be a very INTP thing to be baffled by threads like this, being inferior in Feeling and not understanding such social cues as comedy, and not finding any sense of Logic in them, because you know how INTPs are all like logical and stuff.

Wow, I just noticed you also type existance, exactly like I often do, instead of the popularly approved existence. Do you think that's an INTP thing? You know how INTPs like to go against tradition and social norms. It seems only logical to assume that it would be so.

I watched about two minutes of it this morning then I couldn't believe it wasn't almost over ... wow.

Terrible. Awful stuff. I played the game(s).

Why do you think these would amuse INTPs? This is exactly the kind of thing that would make me uncomfortable being around somebody or watching it together with them because I would be feeling silly about it and thinking how stupid it is ... especially if the other person is laughing ... especially especially if they're trying to get you to join in on the fun when clearly you're bemused by it.

Right. I actually would find that a turn-off to being friends or whatever else, if this video was enough to amuse someone for the entire length of it.

Or if they've already seen it and it's still making them laugh (those people=creepy). Unless it's Jim Carrey ... "Oh Jim don't look so miserable"

I should clarify . It's fun to anticipate old jokes in TV, movies, or whatever, but this sort of thing is just ... dumb.

Depends on if the humor is applied correctly. I look at rage-comics and many jokes are about racism, pedophilia, discrimination... but it's all in the good spirit of humor and as long as they are applied to add to the effect it's good. That being said the video you showed has a funny premise, though one which is old and has been used many times, but to attempt to extend one joke for 9 minutes I'd say is overkill really. It'd be far more interesting and funny if the video was picking on racism and stereotypes in general. An example of that done well is in one of the stereotypes song of Your Favorite Martian.

If the video had been 9 seconds instead of 9 minutes it would have probably been endearingly cheeky and funny.

I liked it only after I skipped around the video a bit. I think it was off-putting to most because it is very nonlinear and has a steep learning curve. I think if it where re-edited it could be much better, but on Youtube viracity is inversely correlated to quality.

Where do you live?
I think it's impossible to like this video if a nigga actually stole one's bike some time in the past because it triggers a lot of bad memories.

Also, I suspect if one is a nigga that has stolen bikes, it increases how amusing this video is by a factor of 0.4 + 1.1 * times one has stolen a bike

These are from YTMND in case anyone doesn't know. YTMND in general relies a lot on referential / interrelated humor, and each individual "joke" only lasts a few seconds. As a stand-alone 10-minute compilation, it doesn't really work.

Part of the joke is that it lasts so long though, that's been added to the original YTMND joke.

^^ okay, I'll give props to this.

About the only two jokes I thought were funny in this regard was the sketch I think from the KFC movie (?) which had "black guys racing" and they were in NYC carrying TV sets and running from the cops; and the old joke about stealing from a mexican and having him yell, "Nacho cheese, man! Nacho cheese" after you.

But they were only funny for a few seconds because I'm just a poor little white girl from Pennsyltucky dairy country.
